T minus 4 days...

until the kids spring break. I am so excited. Only 3 more early mornings because I already did today. I'm hoping by Friday all the snow we got last night will have melted. I can't believe we have snow in APRIL. I am so ready for warm weather that stays warm not two days later gets cold again.

We have some pretty fun stuff planned for the kids break which some will involve swim wear! I love creating these memories with the kids even if it is for only a few nights being away. Enough about their break.

I just realized something about myself, well I think I always knew it but it is becoming increasingly obvious the last few months. I am a terrible stay at home mom, you know why? Because I'm NEVER at home. I think the only time during the week we are home is when it is nap time and then after I get the kids from school we mostly stay home but not always. It is hard to keep up with this house when I am never here to keep up with it. And when I am home I want to relax because I've been running all over the place and I'm tired. Well I have about an hour before I have to leave again so I need to try and get some stuff done around here. OY.

Who said being a SAHM is not work?! Wow girl. Sounds like you keep a pretty full schedule.

I know what you mean about never at home. When I was laid off work last year my plan was to declutter my house. Well that never happened I was always on the go. Hope you have a wonderful spring break... I will be so glad when it gets warm and stays that way.

Have a GREAT spring break! Ours went by way too much. You know what... I've read about all the things you do for your kids, and I think you are a FABULOUS mom- Just because we decided not to take a paying job, so we can raise our children doesn't mean we have to STAY INSIDE all the time! I think it's great that you guys get out there and do things. Your kids lives will be all the richer for it!

I feel like that sometimes too, that I'm a SAHM who's hardly home. HA!

I hope you all have fun on your Spring Break and that warmer weather is on the way!

I totally know what you mean.. I have the same problem.. I'm never home to keep up with the mess. and when we are home I have to get ready to run again or I'm so tired I need to sit down from running then I look around and feel awful about how bad the house has got while I was off running this kid here, that kid there, over there and back to here and so on...
But one thing is for sure, the house work will wait, the kids are only going to be with me so long before they are grown and gone and I would much much rather them remember me being there with them doing things then me cleaning the house KWIM??
Oh and BTW.. when I worked all day long when my younger two were little my house stayed so much cleaner because they were off messing up someplace other then home LOL..

Well, if it makes you feel any better... I am pretty much always at home, seriously, and I am a pretty horrible stay at home mom too. Just means that there are more messes for me to avoid!!! And the minute I do the dishes, there's another sink full that I try hopelessly to avoid. =) But the point is, if you had your choice at being a good mom, or good at staying at home, don't you think you've made the best choice!!! I do! =)

Tammy went to a conference once and a speaker said, "when people walk into your home, what they see first is what is most important to you." When people walk into my home, they see pictures of my family, books, and things that would symbolize our commitment to God. They will also see that our home is a place where the girls can play, where people are more important than things. I don't think anything bad ever happened because the laundry had to sit out for a while or because a pile of legos sat pushed to the side for a few days. Enjoy!
