8 month check up...

I killed two birds with one stone today, love when that happens. I had made an appointment for Peanut to have her well baby check up last week and she ended up getting sick over the weekend (I don't love when that happens). She was up all night Saturday night and the only time she slept was for about 30 minutes at a time while being held in the recliner. J and I took turns holding her, with him holding her most of the night. It just so happened that he was having trouble laying down and breathing so he needed to sit up to sleep too. I called the doctor (early Sunday morning) and they told me what things to look for to make sure she wasn't getting worse and that she wanted to see her Tuesday, which she already had an appointment! I found out that my chunky monkey weighs 18lbs 13oz...it's always nice to know how much weight you are carrying around all day long :) She is a hair over 29 inches. It looks like she just has a virus that is on it's way out of her system. However, Red woke up from his 2 hour nap with a fever, OY. Oh yeah and my toe doesn't hurt as bad today but it is way darker in color...such a pretty purple. I have an appointment tomorrow to make sure it isn't broken.

Boy oh boy. You have a full plate over there. I hope things slow down and everyone is feeling dandy again. :)

Tonya,
Glad to hear that the virus is on its way out. My oldest had something similar about 8 weeks ago-in fact, she had 2 separate episodes within a 3 week period and missed a total of 7 days of school. At one point, her temp was 104. Not fun. You have my sympathies.

BTW, I love your new pic at the top of your blog. You guys are beautiful!

Well, at least your toe is a pretty purple!
Hope your Peanut feels better soon, we seem to be living similar lives lately-what with our sick babies. Sigh. I'm ready for there to be no more sickness this year, and I'm sure you are too!

Hope everyone is feeling better soon. Gotta watch those toes - those toes can be sneaky! Glad you're getting it checked!
