Seriously

I don't understand my baby girl! Since I put that picture of her on the potty pooping she has gone maybe 10 more times in the potty. I'm totally not starting to potty train her it is just a matter of me catching her poop face...you know the one your kid makes as they are trying to push it out! Well this morning she got up too late for me to change her out of her pj's before I had to take the kids to school. Which was fine because I was going to give her a shower with me when we got home. Well we got home and I took her diaper off, the one she wore all night, and it was completely dry. I was shocked because she had been up for an hour by this time. Literally, two seconds after the diaper was off of her she started peeing on the bathroom floor. I called her name and she stopped. I put her in the tub so I could clean it up. She finished peeing in the tub. Fast forward to this afternoon right before the kids need to be picked up she needed to poop. Well she didn't make the potty this time but as I laid her on the ground she peed all over the floor AGAIN. Twice in one day is way too much for me. She isn't even 15 months old. Though I will say she knows when she is peeing because each time today she looked down at what she was doing and then she stopped when I called her name. Is she ready? I think the better question is am I ready? Oh it would be so nice to be done with diapers....

They all potty train at different ages...you never know...maybe she is ready. There's no magical age, right?! Wow!!! Just think...no more diapers!!!

I'm with you! I've been looking for signs that Selah is ready, and am going to jump on that boat as soon as it arrives. I know it can be done! My sister potty trained her daughter in about 1 month at about 18 months of age. :)

We've been using elimination communication since our daughter was born, & at 12 months she went 4 days with no accidents at our family reunion:), so 15 months is definitely possible. She still isn't fully "potty trained" but she know when she's going and can tell us before she has to go.

I bet you'd love to be done with diapers. I know diapers can suck so much time out of the day.

This is just personal opinion... but I think the beginning stages of potty training are more about training MOM anyway!! I have to notice the signs, I have to remind them to go, and I have to remember when it's about time that someone needs to TRY. =) Then, once I am well-trained, it seems like they follow suit.=)
So, it seems like you both are doing a great job... and maybe if you are up for the hard work, you can use the money you save on diapers for an extra date night, or something nice for yourself. =)

Keeping talking this, I am really clueless about privy training...I'll glean from wherever I can!
