Ailing me.

I finally have an answer to the current pain that I am undergoing. I spent 7 hours in the ER this morning getting blood drawn, a cat scan and ultrasound done with much waiting in between. I was so prepared to hear that it was my gall bladder and I was going to need surgery. I have a kidney stone. Can you believe it? But I am so thankful that I didn't walk away from the ER with unanswered questions. Now I just wait for them to pass and then go into the urologist for a follow up. What happened to me once I hit 30? I am going to talk to my dad about the trip and see what we do now. I really don't want to pass a kidney stone in Florida. Also wanted to say thank you for all the wonderful comments and prayers. You guys are the best. I need to go get my pain drugs, love modern medicine.

I did want to mention how great Peanut did in the ER for 7 hours. What a little trooper. And a big huge thank you to my step mom for coming and sitting with me and taking care of Peanut and for J coming in during his breaks through out the day to see how I was doing. I have a great family.

I feel your pain - literally. I have had kidney stones during both of my pregnancies!

Hopefully you will pass it quickly...

I am SO glad you found out what is causing the pain! I was thinking/praying of you last night and can't imagine how you are coping and taking care of kids at the same time. Praying it will all be over soon and you can get back into normal, pain free life!!

That's wonderful that you found the problem! Not so wonderful that it's a stone but better than the alternatives we've been talking about.

I had a stone in my early 20's & had to have surgery to have it removed. Not pleasant but I think it was better than being awake while passing it ;-)

Eeks! Glad you found out the problem. Hope it passes soon and that that's all that's truly ailing you. I've never had a kidney stone, but hear they're not fun. Glad that's all they found:):) Feel better, ya lil' druggie!:)

Great news--you will recover!

As a Mom who is limited in physical activity, especially to the degree I want to be, I completely understand the heartache of living with chronic aches and pain. I am going to a specialist next week, to hopefully figure out what is ailing me. I've shrugged it off for the last four years or so because I am so thankful for all the things I can do: think, walk, talk, play, blog, garden, etc. And of course fear and finances too.

I have cried many times at how much less I can do with my lil guy on a consistent basis, compared to other uninjured Moms--but then, as a habit, I turn it around in the Spirit and praise God for all the things I can do and have because of His blessings and provision in my life!

A pastor recently taught on the truth and attitude of Paul's words: Godliness plus contentment equals great gain!

Amen.

May your pain decrease and cease ASAP, lovely Mammacita!
