8 hrs...

That is how long I spent at the hospital yesterday. We have VBS at our church this week and I was helping out in the kitchen, can't anymore. I slipped on some water on the floor and as gracefully as a 8 month pregnant women can fall I did. I hit my elbow on the chair I was trying to brace myself with but ended up taking down with me. I twisted my ankle as I tried to miss hitting my stomach on the chair...I got my boob instead. Then I rocked my knee on the floor finally landing on my very padded BUTT. A paramedic wrapped my ankle for me and then I had to call my ob. I went in for an ultrasound and everything looked ok then to the ER for x-rays on my ankle and for 5 hours of monitoring the baby girl. I have an air cast and crutches oh so much fun! We are both fine, I must add. I was released from the hospital at 10:15pm last night and used my crutches for the first time getting into the house. We have three small steps into the house and on the last step my good leg gave out and I fell into the house. It was NOT my day I tell you. I stayed home today and rested most of it as I did not sleep much last night only to realize today the pain meds they gave me a prescription for I am allergic too. That was super frustrating so I was sick feeling and in pain. Then Jeff unwrapped my ankle and the pain I was having completely left...which leads me to believe they wrapped me too tight. I just hope I will be able to sleep better today. So please pray for me, I am in pain and I feel sick to my stomach from the pain killers.

I'm so sorry!!! I hope it's just a fast healing sprain! This is NOT the time to be clumsy, girl. Heal quickly, and take it EASY.

Oh Tonya - I am sooooo sorry. Praying for you all. I fractured my foot while I was pregnant with my last one so I can totally relate!

when it rains, it pours, eh! wish i was nearby to help you out... will keep you in our prayers tho!
this reminds me of another pregnant friend of mine who woke up one morning to find half of her face paralyzed! (it's not permanent just some nerve inflammation lasting for a couple months or so) but it does seem that pregnancies can never be just pregnancies!
