Well I love all my children but all differently. Well Monkey has been cracking me up lately. Last night I was laying on the couch and he comes over and says, "Scooch over big mama." Then today we went on a date and ran a bunch of errands. One of the stops was to McDonalds to get gift cards for birthday presents. While we were there we ate lunch. We sat at the bar stool tables and he says, "These are the date tables mom. You can only sit here when you are on a date." On the way to the car after one of our stops (I believe it was the jewelry store that we got GG's free Valentine's day present at) he says, "I love you so much em oh em." It was just too funny that he spelled it out instead of saying mom. We also went to Quest the same place he got blood taken for the allergy test and he says, "Am I getting more blood taken or are you this time?" I told him that I had to pee in a cup and he says, "I've had to do that once." I totally don't remember him having to do that but I'm sure he did if he remembers it! He said much more today but those are some of the funnier things he said today and last night. I had a lot of time hanging out with him.
While the two little ones took their naps J took GG out for a date. We had some good one on one time today with the kids. And the weather is beautiful enough that when they got home GG took her new bike for a spin. J said it is the prefect height. This summer should be fun!!!

Monday!
The kids started VBS at school today which was kind of weird to have them gone. But J and I took advantage of it and went to look at more cars. We found a great deal on a new car from 06 but they didn't want to budge on the price so we walked. We plan on going to look some more tomorrow while the kids are at VBS. They both had a blast and can't wait to go back tomorrow!
Yesterday was a super fun day. After church Amy came over and she took GG and Red swimming. I really didn't feel like going and Monkey didn't either. I ended up taking Monkey on a mother/son date. We went to get an ice cream cone and then to the library. While at the library I picked out some movies. We got home about 5 minutes before Amy and the other two did and then we had a picnic dinner in the living room and watched one of the movies I got from the library.
I can't believe my baby ticker is under 40 now! I am getting so close I can't wait to hold this baby girl. I find out Wednesday if she has flipped for me :)

Crazy Day
Yesterday after school I took Monkey on a date to pizza hut to redeem his book it award. Then we went to the movie store and got two movies one for the kids and one for J and I. When we got home I put Red down for a nap and we played a few games then put on the kids movie. At one point during the movie all 5 of us were on the couch snuggled up on the blankets. Most of the time it was J, I and one or two of the kids. It was such a lazy and rainy day. I had a ton of fun just being with everyone watching a movie. Now today on the other hand is a CRAZY day. GG has a birthday party to attend at 2pm at a gymnastic center. Then Monkey has a birthday party at 5pm. Red's friend from playgroup is turning 1 today (after getting the 2 other parties for today) I talked to the mom and she is only doing a family party. I am thankful for that because I think I would of gone insane trying to get to 3 different parties!!! It kind of works out though because J wants to do a project with the kids as part of my mother's day present. I am taking GG to her party and staying with her and J will do the project with Monkey then I am taking Monkey to his party and it will be GG's turn to make one. I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings :)

Lovin' the WEATHER :)
It has been absolutely beautiful out the last two days and I am so excited even if it is suppose to snow on Tuesday. Two beautiful days beats not having them! Today was fun this morning we went grocery shopping as a family. Then after lunch J took GG on a date roller skating. She had a blast and was really good at it only fell 2 times. Very coordinated that one. I took the boys on a date too. It was really suppose to be a Mommy/Monkey date but we didn't want to wait for J and GG to get back. So we went to the library and played new computer games and then we went for ice cream and hot cocoa. I know weird mix but that is what the boy wanted! When we got home everyone was outside and I had told Monkey that he could put on his skates use them outside, that worked out good. We played outside for about an hour or so then came in to have dinner. Then we went out as a family to get some presents needed for tomorrow. That's all I have to update right now.

I was going to update last night before I went to bed but I was just too tired. J was off of work Monday through Wednesday. So here is what we did. Monday after Monkey got up from his nap we went to the Library. We haven't been there in a while and the kids really enjoyed the time there. We started out coloring pictures and the next thing I knew Monkey had written his whole name on the page. I was so amazed, because I really haven't worked with him. Just the other day his teacher sent home a page to learn how to write the e, I believe that is the only time I have sat down with him and did letter writing. His fine motor skills have really taken off since the beginning on the school year, I can totally tell when he colors pictures, he tries to stay in the lines now. I guess I should start writing more letters with him since he has the interest. My friend Julie has a little boy about Monkey's age and he is starting to write too. So when they are ready there really is no stopping them. Then we picked out some books and movies and headed home. J and I got the movie Super Size Me. There was one part I thought I was going to throw up but I didn't thank heavens. I guess you could say it motivated us to start working out. So we took "fat pictures" neither one of us are fat but we wanted a before picture to see how we change at the end of 6 weeks. I got 20 minutes of a work out before Red needed me and J got 30 minutes. Tuesday I met my friend Silva at the mall and we walked for a hour and a half. I was not as sore as I thought I would be but I could feel the work that I had done the night before! That afternoon we hung out playing with the kids all day. Then Red and I went to the LLL meeting, came home and worked out again. Yesterday Red and I went to Bible study, got the kids, came home had lunch and then Monkey and I went on a date. We went to Starbucks to get some hot chocolate and a cookie. I let Monkey pay, which he thought was cool. Then we sat down and I took his coat off and explained to him why we should take our coats off inside. As I went to sit down this lady says, "I just want to compliment you on your mothering skills. I like the way you are interacting with your child." I was a little shocked and said thanks. You never know when someone is watching what you do or say. When we got home GG wanted some one on one mommy time so we popped in the movie Ice Princess that we got from the library and snuggled on the couch. It was a cute movie and I got to hold my little girl while I watched it with her. I love my kids so much. Then last night J and I got into a discussion because he said he wanted to go snowboarding at least once on his days off...first we don't have the money for him to go every day off and secondly that is our family time. So basically it came down to I could do things on my own but I always want the kids to be with us. Which is true I like having my kids with me, how else are they going to learn how to act or behave if you keep them locked up with a babysitter???? Don't get me wrong I am all about going out with my hubby on dates which the kids *need* to stay home but other than that I like having them with me. Well tonight the kids have Cubbies and I was going to take Red shopping for J's Christmas presents but I really don't really want to be out in the cold. This morning we dropped the kids off at school and went to 3 different grocery stores and the to get Red's 6 month pictures taken. Yes he is 6 months old TODAY! I can't believe it. Tomorrow GG has her Thanksgiving program at school and so does Monkey at different times (yay) J and I are going to help with that, the kids have costumes it should be really cute, I can't wait. Then at night we have our couples small group Bible study (my dad and Roberta are babysitting, they just got back from CA and have gifts for the kids) and Sunday is Red's baby dedication. And they have next week off of school, a whole week of not getting up at 7am should be restful. Later

First I have to write about yesterday!!! When GG woke up I told her that she was going on a special date with daddy that night. She was so excited about it all day long. She couldn't wait for the time their date started :) J got home from soccer practice at 5:30. GG had eaten dinner and we were getting her ready for the date. She put on her favorite dress and she wanted me to braid her hair. She wanted to look pretty for daddy. Then J stood at the door and she made her entrance. Then he put her coat on her and they left. I gave Monkey dinner and I cleaned the fish tank. When he was done I took him to McDonalds for some "green ice cream" (shamrock shack) and he played. We got home about 10 minutes before they did. All day long J wouldn't tell me where he was taking her, he wanted me to hear it from her. So when they got home she burst out, "Mommy, we went to the Library and we got Willy Wonka and Wizard of Oz. We colored these pictures together. Then we got ice cream at the store. I got chocolate my favorite! It was so much fun." This morning she tells me she wants me to take her on a date...hahaha. I told her that we could have a mom/daughter night some night next week. Now that J will be home at night time he will be able to take her on "dates" once a month. Kids need to have that one on one time and did it show with GG last night. Monkey also enjoyed his time with mommy. He told J he got to eat green ice cream at McDonalds. J didn't know my plans for Monkey and I so he was surprised just like I was with their date. Tonight J was wanting to take me on a date but we couldn't find a sitter in such short time. All the people we normally use were busy, bummer. But he said we will do it next week and that way we will have plenty of time to get a sitter! Tonight we are getting pizza from Pizza Hut we have a free large pizza coupon.

This week off has been great so far, we have gotten to sleep in every morning! Monkey and I took a trip to Rockford on Tuesday and GG and J had daddy/daughter time. Today is J's last day off of work, which has also made the last couple of days great, so we took the kids to McDonalds to play. Right now I am looking outside and it is snowing like crazy. I think we already have 2 inches. Also we got our blinds today!!! I was so excited about that and J put them up right away too. We were planning on going to church tonight but with all the snow I think we might just stay home. GlamorGirl has been begging to go outside and build a snowman ever since it started to snow. Very hard to explain to a stubborn almost 4 year old that there isn't enough snow on the ground yet. She could probably make a snow angel :) I honestly don't want her going outside to play until she is completely healthy. I think she is going to kick her cough this week though...I can tell she has gotten better. Well J and I just decided we are going to church tonight. Have a happy Thanksgiving...

What a great and busy day we had yesterday. We celebrated Monkey's birthday with a party. Most of the people that came over hadn't seen our new house yet so I spent most of the day cleaning and cooking for the party. Then everyone came over and I played host. Monkey had a great time. He loved all of his presents :) I still can't believe that my baby is 2 already. Where in the world did the time go? GG did pretty well during Monkey's party too. She helped by giving him the presents to open. She loves her little brother and he loves her too. Friday night GG stayed at my in-laws and Monkey was so sad that she was gone. I took him out for a special dinner just the two of us and when we got in the car he said, "Oh no where is GG's carseat?" I told him grandma had it because she was with her for the night. They gave eachother a big hug on Saturday when she came home. I must admit I really missed her a lot and it wasn't even a whole 24 hours. She had fun at grandma's and Aunt Liz gave her a makeover with makeup and did her hair too. Such a little princess! Today we went to church and then hung out at grandma and grandpa's for lunch and relaxation. Next month they don't have Sunday School class so the kids will probably go to the nursery together. So I have thought about my other journal that I really haven't written in for a long time and I have decided that it will mainly be about our new house and things we do to improve it or that brake and need fix. Stuff like that! I LOVE being a homeowner!!!! Well time for dinner.....
