Hello Blog it's been awhile!

Sometimes life seems so crazy and busy and then it stops and you look back and think, what in the world have I been doing lately? Yeah well that is how I feel. Let's see what are the highlights or low lights since the last time I updated...
* organized the family room closet and now the kids toys have a place to go and be concealed, love that!
*we got our taxes done and have received the refund.
*we can now start the bath remodel with said funds.
*GlamorGirl got a new dresser and Peanut is now using her old one minus the top broken drawer. It will have to do until we can afford to get her a new one too. Red doesn't even have a dresser he has the elfa drawers in the closet. It works for now.
*picked the kids teachers for next year. Monkey doesn't have any of his best buds in his class but I think he will still have a wonderful year. He will have a male teacher. GG has her best friend in her class next year. Red has one of my favorite teachers so I'm really excited about that.
*Red made the Sparks-A-Rama team for the Awana Games, he is super excited about that as am I.
*the diamond in my wedding ring fell out. We can't find it and it isn't insured. UGH!
*took Peanut and myself to get a blood draw a recheck on the c4a levels. Poor girl had to get stuck twice because the first vein burst. So sad.
*Monkey had a friend over after school to play. I am really enjoying having play dates because I get to know his friends better.
*my tummy didn't feel the greatest at dinner and I decided not to go to JAM just in case.
*my dad came to watch the kids and they scratched his head, with a purpose, of donating their earnings (yes he pays them to scratch his head) to help pay for a clean water well in Africa.

Our church is doing a fund raiser and there are three levels. I was going to try and type this all out but I think this video would do a better job explaining the levels and how you can contribute even if you don't attend our church or know me in person.

This LINK should take you right to the giving page for Bethel or you can type in The Water Project in google, once you get to the page click the fundraiser tab, click find a friend then type in Bethel Community Church. All donations are tax deductible and you receive an email immediately after donating. I would love to see us reach our goal and then surpass it immeasurably. There are also other video clips on the fund raising page and the guy talking in this video is our youth pastor at our church, my kids love him!

Cookies and Junior High Girls

That is a very fun combination! Today I invited all the girl JAM students and leaders. I think we had a perfect turn out. Not too many people but not a super low number either. We had 6 girls and 3 leaders (well 4 if you count Jeff but he's a guy and it was a girls only thing) and also my GlamorGirl helped. After we made, sugar cookies, chocolate chip cookies and oatmeal butterscotch cookies we played celebrity. The girls liked it so much they wanted to play it again! That game is always a crowd pleaser and is SO easy to play. Then we had a chat session about the ever so fun topic of BOYS. I thought it was extremely funny when my 4th grader says, "And why are we talking about this?!" She couldn't wrap her head around why they were so obsessed with this subject matter! I'm sure she will get like this at some point I just hope it isn't until she is much older and can really understand liking someone. I can hope right!

On a totally separate topic today was the toddler program at church today where the little kids get to go on stage and sing and say their lines. It helped that Peanut is in preschool and they just had their Christmas program on Friday singing the very same song they sang this morning. She was the loudest singer! I was so proud of her. I hope to come back and update this post with the video of her singing but the video is on the computer downstairs and I am all cozy warm in bed upstairs! Another funny thing that happened this morning is our friend Josh asked Peanut, "Who's the present?" Referring to her dress. She simply replied, "Me," as she pointed to herself. That girl cracks me up. She refused to take a nap today while the girls were here and on the way to church totally conked out complete with drool running down her coat, to that I say, stinker!

Schedules

Jeff and I are leaders of a small group at our church. We love this small group as it is couples around the same age as us with children around the same age as ours...ours always being the older of the kids. Anyway in our group we have two police officers, a fireman, and a nurse. Which makes scheduling a nightmare. The nurse is married to one of the police officers so when he is off she works making it all the more difficult. We really do love this group of people I just wish getting together wasn't such a headache. But this isn't the only thing that is hard to schedule. Sometimes I find trying to get together with just one other couple can be just as hard. Which is a bit odd if you think about it. Nonetheless that is the case. There is a couple that Jeff and I have been trying to get together with for over 6 months. I stopped trying to find a date a couple months back and then decided that we should try again and sure enough we are running into the same situation of schedule conflict. The sad part of it all is we really don't do much so our schedule is pretty wide open unless Jeff has something at work he has to do but that isn't a whole lot. Am I alone on this dilemma?

P.S. I'm half way through the month!!!

Now that was relaxation!

My hubby and I went away for the weekend just the two of us! We left Friday at 1ish and headed north. We stayed at a quaint little bed and breakfast with some other couples from our church. I think this year we had about 25 couples there, it was more than last year. It was just so nice to only have to worry about ME for a whole weekend! I was able to take a long bath and shave my legs without rushing. I laid in bed and watched tv with my hubby with no interruptions from little people. We even brought a puzzle with us and were able to put it together together and with other people from church. I could go on but I will just say it was such a nice break from reality. I really enjoyed the social aspect of it and hanging out with other couples our age. I did pretty good with my food while we were there but I know I could of done better as I did have some stomach issues. I owe a huge thanks to my sister, Aunty Becky, for taking care of my crew while we were gone. They had a great time and she did a pretty good job keeping things together. Now I must go make lunches come to the realization that my break is over and real life must go on!

In-house Retreat

This year my husband and I are JAM leaders which is the Jr. High ministry at our church. My husband did Friday nights last year and this year we will do Wednesday and Fridays together. I am really excited about it but it will also put a HUGE damper on our social life of having people over as Friday nights we have a commitment. This weekend all the leaders and students for both Jr. High and High School were at church. It was such a great time. We started planning some of the theme nights and we have some really great ideas. J and I have wanted to be youth leaders since we were married but the kids came right away and it was too hard and now that our youngest is going to be 3 years old tomorrow it is making this ministry easier to be involved with. I was thinking the other day that I am going to start to feel old when I start to get my toddler kids in Jr. High, which will be awhile since they are only 4yo right now. But I bet that 8 years goes fast!!!

Other than that I am feeling sad today. For the last few days I feel like satan has been attacking me. I just wish sometimes I wasn't so sensitive and I didn't let things bother me. But it is hard when it *feels like we are never included or invited to things with our friends. (And I know we have 4 kids but still it is a sucky feeling) I get that you can't invite EVERYONE to stuff as I struggle with that when hosting. I probably shouldn't post this but it is who I am and how I am feeling RIGHT now. I'm sure it will pass but right now it just blows chunks.

*but I know it isn't true
**Update on this subject after I wrote that above paragraph I talked to my husband and we got to the root of my mood on the subject. It had to do with poor choice of words in a conversation I had about the outing, that were not true.

On a completely different note...I took GG out on Sunday after church with another mom and daughter. We had a complete BLAST. We took the girls out for lunch, nails, ice cream and then shopping! It was a great afternoon of fun. The girls decided to switch moms for the afternoon which was really funny. The funniest comment of the afternoon was when we were at Target in the halloween section. LDC had a black hat and mask on and was saying, "Have you seen my dead husband?" I told her, "He is buried in the ground" Then my GG says, "Yeah he is the one with rip on the top." But she said rip instead of R.I.P. it was so funny. I then explained to her how R.I.P. stood for Rest in Peace. There was many other laughs too but that comment was the funniest. Let's just say that LC and I had trouble keeping the pee in at one point! Those girls had us laughing so hard :)

The Goodness of God Through His People

If you read my hubby's blog you know that I totally stole that title from him! But I know he won't mind, love you babe :) As you all know we have been "tenting it" in our garage for about a month now. And the weather isn't getting any warmer out. Last night at church a man from our church pulled J aside and started talking to him about our situation. He has an empty 2 bedroom house right next to his house that he said we could stay in. What an amazing blessing. We are going to be going over there on Wednesday night during the kids' choir practice and checking it out. I can't even begin to tell you how blessed I feel and how at peace I am with all that is going on in our lives right now. God is really showing himself faithful to those who believe in Him. I can say through this whole process I haven't been afraid of what is going to happen to us or where we are going to go I believe that God would work it all out on our behalf, and guess what, HE did! Even though we haven't moved there yet or checked it out I just know that He will take care of us one way or another. I will say that my head was going crazy last night thinking about all the changes a move would make for us and how it would all work out but as soon as I gave it over to God I was able to sleep. That is HUGE for me, usually when my mind gets like that I have a terrible time falling asleep and then staying asleep. I will say lastly that the next time I update I will provide at least a few Disney pictures as they are on the computer in the house and we are working on making the house clean for me to be in a few hours at a time!!! Now praying that my hubby's need to get everything done in a 3 week period won't drive me CRAZY. He wants to pack, paint, and sell the house! People have asked if we are doing all the things to make is clean of all mold and spores why are we moving? Well we really and truly have out grown our house. We feel this was the push to get us to buy a bigger house so we aren't so cramped. Though I will say that our next house will not be bought on a whim like this house nor will it have been a foreclosure.

slacking

Man I really have been a slacker on the ole blog front! Lets see...tonight is a double header for the church softball team which means it is the last Monday of hanging out with friends consistently. The guys play the first game at 6 and if they win they play for 1st place and if they lose they place for 3rd place. Either way they team is in the top 4 teams. Do I need to mention that there are only 8 teams? I am very proud of them. I will hopefully update the results when I get home.

The kids have 4 weeks left of summer vacation and then it is back to the daily grind of school. Though we all have mixed emotions about that! I don't want to be forced to wake up so early but I do love my time with just Peanut and J and I's once a week lunch date. Once Peanut gets in school it will just be the two of us for those dates, can you hear the excitement? I love my hubby.

Update on me. Last time I told you they took some more blood work. They called me saying that everything looked fine. I asked them to send me the results. They tested me for 4 things and there were 3 on the sheet. Of the 3 that had come back only one was the right test. And it was under the range, though they told me it was fine. The other two tests that came back were the wrong tests, stupid doctor's office. I called and talked to them about retaking it and the nurse said that was fine but when I went today to get the blood taken the doctor was uncomfortable with the tests. WHAT? It is just a blood test. I think he was uncomfortable with the fact that if he did this test and it showed up with something wrong he didn't know where to go from there and he is LAZY. So I called my insurance company and I have a new doctor starting Sept 1st! Finally after 2 years of no answers I got the nerve to get rid of those quacks. I do have my allergy appointment tomorrow so I will try and remember to update that though I feel like it might be like all the other tests and come up with nothing. But I am still hopeful.

Vacation Bible School

This year we were blessed to be able to go to two VBS's back to back! This week it is at our church and I am working in the kitchen like I have done the last 3 years. Two sisters run the VBS together. The only major difference this year is that the one of the ladies is in China getting her adopted daughter this week. Before she left she asked me to go shopping for the week for all the snacks and breakfast foods. They serve a cheap breakfast for workers and their families so that they get there on time! Yesterday I took the 4 kids to Costco's near our house. I have never been in this particular Costco so I wasn't fimilar with it. I was walking up and down the isles looking for good snack foods to give the kids, but also not too expensive I was shopping for about 160 people. One of the ideas I had for a snack they didn't sell there so I had to rethink a new snack. The kids were loving it because they had samples throughout the store. By the time we were done getting all we could get from that store we had 3 carts full of food and it was 2 1/2 hours later. I must say that my kids did great in the store and were such huge helps pushing the extra two carts I had! The only bad part was when Peanut bit Red. That was something new from her. But she felt so bad after wards that she kept saying sorry and giving him hugs and kisses. I have a new appreciatation for these two ladies and all the work that goes into planning this week long event...I only had snack stuff there are crafts and lessons among other things. I was so excited to see that we had 122 and about 40 workers if not more I didn't get a count on them. And as far as I know the snacks were a hit today...at least I didn't hear any complaints.

This past weekend

We went out of town with some friends and had a blast! I have pictures that I am not going to have time to upload tonight, maybe tomorrow. This weekend consisted of driving, the beach, sand castles, playing cards, mini golf, sand dunes, movie, huge bonfire at the beach, s'mores, and just an all around good time! On the way home I dropped J and the two oldest off at US Cellular park to watch the White Sox game and then I got lost in downtown for a good 30 minutes and 10 calls to my father in law later and I was on the right road again.

Peanut happenings: we have soft ball games every Monday night this summer and the park that they play doesn't have a bathroom anywhere around. So I have had to learn how to let her pee in the woods. Well now anytime we go outside and she has to pee she pulls her pants down and wants to go right there! Another side effect of having her potty trained is she undresses so many times a day. I got her dressed 6 times the other day before I finally gave up and told her to put her own clothes on. If you are a facebook friend you know how she puts her swim suit on well that is the same way she gets herself dressed. She put both legs in one whole and then pulled them up to her waist but none of it was covering her private parts.

Total Randomness

Today was a first for me and I'm not quite sure how I feel about it. First let me tell you what that first is...I dropped off my oldest baby girl at camp for the week. I will not get to talk to her on the phone for a week. I am excited for her to be getting this experience. She is beyond excited about being there, she kept asking when we were going to leave. I am sad that I will not get to see all the cool things she is doing and get to talk to her throughout the week. I am nervous about putting her into someone else's care. Though there was only 7 girls in her cabin with 2 counselors so there was 3 empty beds. I just worry about stupid stuff but not really that stupid...you know things like ticks, will someone check her head every night? Make sure she brushes her hair and teeth everyday, changes her clothes and especially her underwear? She is growing up but she is still my little girl and she is some what on her own. I am excited for her before there are 6 girls from our church at the camp and 3 counselors from our church too. She knows plenty of people if she gets scared or homesick. 2 of the girls from our church are in her cabin this week and I hope and pray that she becomes better friends with them and that she also makes new friends too. But let me tell you this camp has some of the coolest things for her to do. They have a zipline, a huge swing that 3 people get harnest onto and then pulled up about 100 feet and then let go (the parents where able to ride this swing but by the time we got her registered and stuff we missed it by about 3 people), next year I am so going on it!!! There is also a climbing wall, petting zoo, trails, crafts, a canteen, and swimming. She is going to have a blast and I can't wait to hear all about it. If you want to send her mail email me and I will give you the address. The letters have to get out by Thursday or she won't get them by the time she leaves on Saturday :) I also want to go up and help next year while she is at camp and J is planning on helping the week Monkey goes. I think he might have a harder time being away though he will get to see the camp 2 times before next year, we'll see.

The kids made J cards for Father's Day. I asked them questions about daddy and they answered them. I printed them off and they drew pictures on the paper. He loved it. The other gift was that I cleaned the van while he was in Canada. I took everything out and vacuumed it. It looks nice. He hates a dirty vehicle so this was a great and inexpensive gift I just had to use some electricity to vacuum it!

I have my procedure done in 4 days and I am really kind of calm and at peace with it though we'll see how I am doing on Wednesday. I have already decided that I am taking a sleeping pill that night so that I get sleep!

Oh and today I was sitting in Sunday School and my phone started vibrating. I look and the number said 000 0212 something. I showed J the number and he shrugged his shoulders and then I showed the girl on the other side of me who is a missionary and she said that is was an international number. It finally clicked that it was my mom calling from GERMANY. She had called on Tuesday and my phone didn't even ring and I got her message about 3 hours after she called, weird. Well I didn't get it in time and I was so bummed. When we came home I jumped on the computer was going to update my status but show that my mom left me a instant message. I responded to her and left without updating the status. Well on the way to camp she called and I got to talk to her and my grandma! The kids were excited to get to talk to them too. I put them on speaker phone :) One last thought, last week the kids had one grandpa in Canada, a grandma in Germany, and another grandma 2 states away on a mission trip. If you got to the end of this random post congrats you win...hmmm nothing sorry! But thanks for reading to the end :)

Rocked the NURSERY!

Today I feel like I got so much accomplished I just wish it was at my house. ;) There were 5 of us girls/ladies whatever you want to call us, at church and we went through ALL the nursery toys and donated a ton of them to the church garage sale. Then we moved all the things we were keeping into the make shift nursery while we renovate the old nursery. I am so excited about this project. The guys are going to go on Wednesday and Thursday nights to demolish the cabinets and other random things on the walls, taking down the one wall dividing the two rooms, taking out the ceiling and flooring. It is going to be so much nicer when it is all finished. The only sad thing is that Peanut will be the only one of our kids that get to enjoy the new improved nursery and toddler rooms. Oh well, at least I can say I got to be apart of it. I wish I would of taken some before pictures...but it's too late now.

Peanut happenings...yesterday at church I gave my friend who just had a baby about 2 months ago my nursing apron. I only nurse Peanut at home a few times a day and I don't use it anymore so I thought why not. Well last night at a party my friend pulled out the apron and Peanut recognized it and had the worst face of panic I have ever seen. It was like she was trying to figure out why this lady had her nursing thing. She watched her and as soon as she stopped nursing and set it down Peanut ran up and snatched it away and brought it right to me like mama here save it for me. I felt so bad, I didn't think she would have that kind of an attachment to her nursing cover. She will get over it soon I hope. Then this morning we had library books due and I remember just as I was going to get in the shower with Peanut. I got dressed and brought her with me naked butt! I didn't get her out at the library so no one knew but it was pretty funny.

Sparks-A-Rama

The two older kids had the Awana Games on Saturday. They were the red team this year. All of their shirts said Bethel. That is the name of our church! J and I even wore the same brown shirts as the little two.

Both kids played very well in the different events they were in and I was so happy to be there and cheer them on. In the end they ended up in 2nd place! And each got a medal. It was a great day.

I'm sharing this picture just because I think she is cute :)

Awana

Last night in Awana Sparks they had crazy hat night. Monkey wore a sock hat and GG had a picnic hat. Here is the picture of the hats before we left the house.

And GG won the craziest hat with her picnic hat they had 3 winners in all the 40 kids! J and her had a lot of fun putting the hat together and shopping for the material. I personally thought Monkey should of been chosen too but I'm biased. We have a really cool idea for his hat next year in hopes he will win. GG's hat had a lot of detail to it and was themed!!!

Thrown Off

So yesterday was our Friday school wise. Too celebrate this 3 day weekend we took the kids to Chuck E Cheese. It was packed in there. I guess they were having some sort of fundraiser in one of the schools. Very glad that J came with because the spot that we parked in was extremely hard to get out of due to the two vehicles that came after we were already there. People were making their own parking spots! If I tried getting out someone would of gotten hit. It was a fun night though.

Then this morning it was up and out the door to church. This Bible study is so good and there is just so much good parenting information on doing it biblical. We got home around 1:30 the two little ones took naps and the big ones helped clean the house for our company tonight. Tomorrow is our relaxing day at home and Sunday is the all church family lunch and then meeting after then later we are heading to our friends from church for a Super Bowl party. I love our church!!! They are like extended family :) Have a good and safe Super Bowl weekend!

Why does life always...

get in the way of my plans? This is the first and only day this week that all three kids will be at school so I had plans to clean, do laundry and run a few quick errands. I got all but one errand done, and I got the house vacuumed but not dusted and I had unexpected load of laundry that took priority over the last load I needed to get done today. I've had a very productive day but I don't feel like I have accomplished all I've wanted too and Peanut is sleeping now so I'm stuck doing quiet things until she wakes at 3 something just in time to get the other 3 kids bring them home have them grab there Awana stuff, Jeff get home and out the door we go. Maybe I can get the dusting done while she is sleeping and then I can mark off cleaning from my list. And hopefully I can get the last load done in 2 hours? I don't like doing things half way. But tonight is moms night at Sparks and the kids are both super excited about it.

Update from yesterday. As soon as Monkey jumped in the van I said, "I'm so sorry I forgot to make your chili. I brought it for you to eat on the way home. I'm the worst mommy. I feel so bad. What did you eat?" He looks at me with those sweet big brown eyes and says, "You're not the worst mommy. I forgive you. GG gave me her slim jim to eat and one of my friends gave me some chips." I asked him why he didn't tell the teacher so she could of called me? That I would of brought him food. He said he didn't think of it. I'm glad that his big sister came through for him. I always pack a lot of food in her lunch because she gets to have a snack during the last period of the day so she had plenty of food to spare and she got to have a snack too.

Sunday and Today

I was able to go to church, though we had to be there super early, for the kids to have their last Ark show. I must say that they kids did a great job. They really enjoy performing and I really love hearing how well they did. I had so many people compliment me on GG's singing voice and just how sweet she sounds. Monkey didn't have a solo this time but maybe next semester he will get one too! But I did have a mother tell me how well behaved Monkey was during all their practices, she was a helper so she was there. That was nice to hear as well.

Today Peanut and I only had to make one run to the store because we went grocery shopping yesterday as a family. I figured that since she is feeling well I should take her in for her 1st year appointment...only 3 months late not too bad! Once she started walking I noticed that she pushes her left hip out when she walks. I asked the doctor about it since they told me to be aware of her hips because of her being breech. She now has an appointment tomorrow with a specialist to see if there is something wrong with her hip. I think she will have to get an xray done but other than that I'm not sure what else to expect. I really hope they tell us she will out grow it or that it can be fixed with physical therapy. I will try and update you tomorrow.

Update

First that isn't our Christmas card picture in the post below! I have so many things in my head I want to get blogged so bare with me! Yesterday we had a funeral for J's Aunt Judy and it was an all day event with Awana clubs at church putting us home at 9pm last night. Tonight J and I are going to our church Christmas Banquet we get to get all dressed up and hang out with church friends very excited about it.

Today Red and I, with Peanuts very little help we made cookies for our cookie exchange tomorrow morning. Red was so excited to help and he did a really good job if I do say so myself. I only got pictures of the kids cooking as I was taking the pictures and no one was home to take one of all three of us!

He is wanting to eat the carmel chips...
Peanut just glad to be on a step stool! Look at that cheese of a smile :)

Well I didn't get this posted yesterday and it still isn't completely done but I don't care. I did get a few pictures of J and I before we left for the banquet. Have a great weekend! I will be busy yet again. We have a birthday party Saturday and we're going out that night bowling with church friends!

Monkey took this last picture and I think he did a good job!

This morning Peanut and I went to church and I had my last Bible study for this year...we had a huge breakfast and did the cookies exchange. I now have so many cookies!

Heart attack...

That is what Monkey almost gave me yesterday. GG has cheerleading this whole week so she hasn't been going him to our meeting spot. Monday and Tuesday he went with a boy from his class because they walk together those two days. Well yesterday was the first day that he needed to get there by myself. I pick up Red from school and take the two little kids out to the van and get them strapped in and by that time the kids are usually coming out the door. I looked up and no Monkey I get into the van and wait 5 more minutes thinking that maybe he was taking his time since no one was with him. It is now 3:55 and school got out 20 minutes ago. I drive around to the other side of the school so I can find GG and ask her where he is. She didn't see him after school because she went right down to cheerleading practice. Panic kids in...where is my boy? I go to the office and they call all the different places he could possibly be and he is not at any of them. I leave the two youngest with a high school girl who is friends with my sister in law and has babysat for us before. I start running through the school looking for him and stop to catch my breath and yell his name hoping he will answer me. This school the kids go to is HUGE. It was the towns old High School building. They have 3 gyms! It's big. I went up to his classroom and the hall was empty of kids and there was one teacher. The pit in my stomach moved to my throat. I asked the teacher if she had seen my boy and his teacher heard me asking and came out and told me that they sent him to after care. I just came from there and he wasn't in it. Now there are many ways to get there so maybe we missed each other. On my way back to the after care another teacher sees me and tells me they took him to the office. 40 minutes after school gets out I finally have all my kids. That was the worst feeling in the world. I asked him where he was suppose to be and told him "Don't you know that you are my favorite Monkey and I don't want to lose you." He was pretty upset that I was so scared. Today he better be where he is suppose to or he will not see tomorrow ;)

After that whole episode I got a call from J telling me he wouldn't be coming to church with us. It was Dad's Night at Sparkies. I made a few calls and grandpa A to the rescue! J wasn't home when I went to bed at 10:30 so I'm not even sure what time he got home. Needless to say it was quite a day. I'm ready to start this new one ;)

Church family

I have been thinking about this the last few weeks. I have had a few different conversations with people about God and church. I believe they were both family members but not sure. Anyways, one conversation started because of school choices. They send their oldest to a private christian school. I asked if they go to church too. They told me that they don't believe it is necessary to go to church that they pray with their kids at meals and such. Not that that is bad in anyway. But that statement made me think and it also made me sad. I love my church and the people in it. They are like an extended family. I am at church 3 times a week. Then I started thinking about last winter and all the help from the people in our church. The women who made meals for our family, came over to help with the kids as I laid on the couch in pain, women who drove me to doctor's appointments while J was working and the people who called and sent cards. Being a part of a church family can be one of the biggest blessings of being a Christian and having faith in Jesus Christ as our Savior. It just makes me sad that not everyone is plugged into a support that a church can create. I think about when Peanut was born and the four/five meals a week we got for 3 weeks straight, what a huge help for J! Then there are things as simple as I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow afternoon and a girl from church is coming over to watch Red and Peanut so I can go without dealing with them at this appointment. To the Bible study that I am in on Friday mornings with the mom's day out afterward. We are having a girls night out tonight. Now I do know and understand that you don't have to be apart of a church to be able to do some of these things but being in the company of like minded, Christ centered people just does something good for my soul. Also the reason I love the fact that my kids go to a Christian school. My school mommy friends are equally as awesome! I think I got off track :) I am just writing this post to encourage you to get plugged into a church if you aren't and you will be blessed. And by getting plugged in I don't mean just go, you need to get involved in the ministries of the church invest in relationships with other members. Ok getting off of my soap box. But before I do I just really want everyone to experience the blessings that I have with my church. K, I'm done.

Breathe

I don't feel like I have time to breathe this week. I love VBS week the kids have so much fun but man is it exhausting. Yesterday (Wednesday) after VBS we went with a family to a children's museum we had never been to before. It was a lot of fun. Then it was home and GG and I left for another mother/daughter bonding time with the same friends. We went out to eat and then to the pool to swim. Well the two girls swam and we talked.

This morning we got to church an hour early to make the breakfast for today. Today at VBS was water games and they got a inflatable water slide for the kids to play on. You guessed it, after it was over all the workers kids played on the water slide. By the time we got home it was 1pm. I made lunch and put the kids to bed. Then Monkey and I went to the bank. We went through the kids piggy banks to get the coins out. At VBS they are having a contest to see who can raise the most money, weight wise, and that person gets a pie in the face. It's not the greatest of rewards but J is in the running for it. As I was looking through the kids piggy banks I noticed that they had a ton of money in each of them. I pulled it all out and counted it and decided that half of it needed to be put in the bank and the other half they could either keep in there or buy something with. Since I only had Monkey with me we ran to the dentist to get the paper that was dropped off last week for school. NOW, I'm trying to get caught up on cleaning, dishes, and laundry. I really don't have time to be sitting here updating but I need a break :)

On yeah, Peanut has started doing a few new things too. She is getting so much better at pulling herself to standing. I actually got some good pictures of her last night. Then I tried taking a video and she was done preforming her new trick. She also now tells me when she is tired and wants to nurse to sleep. She says, "Ny-Ny" It is really cute. I love that she can communicate and little!
