This world...
it makes me so sad and so mad. We were in our living room with the front windows wide open playing our Wii. This mom was walking by with a child in a stroller and a little girl about a house behind her. The girl walks past our house and picks our flowers and then picks it apart after killing it then she proceeds to take my kids bug house that is in our yard. The kids play with this daily as they are so "into" bugs, example the inch worm. Here I am with the Wii controller around my wrist playing a game quickly pause the game and run outside with no shoes on and yell at the girl to bring our toy back. The mom turns around and just looks at me and says something to her daughter but I don't speak her language so I have no idea what she said. The girl walks to me and hands me the bug house. I was just so sad that this little girl doesn't know better. She was about 7 years old. And mad that my kids didn't pick up their toys like I asked them too. I should let their toys be taken next time, but this bug house was homemade and was a gift.

Ugh. At least you saw it being taken so your could put a stop to it! I would be upset too, but something I feel the same way about my kids not picking up after themselves.
Bummer:( Glad you got it!!
OH man...that would tick me off!! I cannot believe she doesn't know better at that age, too. I'm glad you ran out. I'm glad I wasn't there.....my week has been stressful and I have zip for patience...I probably would have ran up and ripped it out of her hands and said git you little theif. hehe. I know. I'm working on chilling out. =/
I would be pretty ticked off (and sad too) too. Why in the world would the mother just let her child walk off with someone else's stuff? WTH?????
I'm glad you got it back. We had a similar experience a few years ago, although it was with Cassidy's bike that she innocently let another girl ride. Ugh. So frustrating!
It's a sad world we live in...and the mother seemed to think it was no big deal--no wonder the little girl didn't know better! Glad you got it back though!
I totally agree...this world! UGH!
Sounds like you handled it well, probably better than I would have.
I'm glad you caught her taking it. Although it could've been a valuable lesson learned for the kiddo's to not leave their things out in plain sight.
I can't believe that the little girl took it though, especially at that age, she should know better.
