I'll never understand

Why it is that my kids get up at the butt crack of dawn on days we don't have to be anywhere at any time. BUT on the days we have some place to be they sleep in and I have to drag them out of bed and keep on them to keep moving. I will never understand this.

Also I have to stop using them as my alarm clock because like I said they sleep in when we need to be getting up early. Then we are all in a rush. Not good.

One of the universes cruel jokes. It's always the case.

I am glad to know that I am not the only one that has to do this!

C and I are always amazed by this! We're always in wonder...WHY do they get up so early on Saturday...when we'd like to sleep in, but on Sunday, when we have church to get to...ugh...we're dragging 'em outta bed! I think their bodies know when it's Saturday..."playtime"...by Sunday...they're all pooped out! How was playgroup??? So sorry we weren't able to see U all...I miss you...still up for a girls nite?

Nice to know that I am not the only one who has this "problem". Today I found out that my almost 5 year old was "playing" with my alarm clock. No wonder I have been 10 minutes late to everything for the past couple of days!

Ugh!!! Please . . . PLEASE let me know if you discover the answer to this one because I'm very curious as well. It's a mysterious phenomenon that occurs at our house, too.

Yep! This happens here too. Sometimes I think it may be that we let the kids stay up just a bit late when we know we have nothing going the next day. I have found that staying up late ALWAYS causes them to get up earlier. Lack of sleep somehow causes more lack of sleep. As they get older this works itself out a little more, I think, but it is still happening. No fun! LOL

Physics. Or something like that...

I am not looking forward to using an alarm clock when school starts! We usually get up before 7 anyway, but HAVING to get up and get going in order to get to school? Ugh.

I have been thinking the same thing lately. Yesterday we had to leave by 9am they all slept in until 8am. This morning, nowhere to go and one gets up at 5, another gets up at 7:30 and well the other, he'll probably sleep all darn day LOL

I feel ya sister! We had plenty of errands to run Saturday and we ALL slept in. I will say it was nice but it sure made for less timein the day to get done what we had to get done.
