Resolved for now

The money has been returned to GG and an apology given. However the bullying stuff hasn't been even talked about. I am trying to figure out where to go from here. I don't want my daughter to stop playing with this little girl completely as it is obvious she needs a good friend. However I don't want this friendship to be one of do this or I'm telling on you. Apparently yesterday at school she told another one of her friends that she couldn't play with Rachel because she stole her money. And in a way it was a great starter for a converstaion about how this Rachel needs grace, mercy and love. How GG could show her those and be her friend but that if she is going to bully her into doing something then she needs to speak up and tell her to stop. Then tell the teacher what is going on. Also about how telling the other girl was wrong and she shouldn't have done that. Her teacher talked to her about it today as well so hopefully she learned that lesson! If anything major happens I'm sure I'll be blogging about it.

So tonight is the concert and my stomach is so sore from COUGHING! I tried to get a nap today but Peanut fell asleep on the way home from Bible study and only slept 30 minutes once we got home. I'm praying that I will be non grumpy at the end of the concert!!! But I'm also really looking forward to spending some time with my hubby even if I'm still sickly.

First, hope you feel better tonight! Being sick on a date night stinks.

Unfortunately, I think we all have the capability to be a bully inside of us. It's a matter of self-esteem, guidance, and just making the right choices early on.

I love that you haven't written Rachel off as "A bully." If every child that had been negatively affected by Justin's early issues were to have written him off, there wouldn't be any children left to play with at school.

Thomas had a friend spend the night last night that was up until 2 a.m. coughing. Then got up @ 6:30 a.m. I'm exhausted today.

Here's a link to an article that's helped us with the bullying stuff. http://www.loveandlogic.com/pages/teaseproof.html

I wish Ethan's teacher would use this in the classroom but we work with the boys on it at home.

Kristen (I'm too lazy to log into my blog. If I logged in I'd have to post something & I'm supposed to be painting ;-)

I'm sorry GG is being bullied. I can't stand bullying. I read your last post to get caught up on what happened and I hope the parents are doing something about 'Rachel' and her stealing and bullying. It's very sad.

My son has been dealing with some bullying of late and it makes me really wonder how these parents are raising their young ones.
