AHHH the weekend is over. Today we got up and decided not to go to the parade because it was cold and rainy out, plus J told me not to bother taking them there just for that. Maybe next year when we live closer:) So I got the kids bathed and dressed along with myself. I'm out of the habit of doing that all by myself because I usually take one kid to work and just wake them up and go. But it was nice doing that and I kinda miss it. Anyways, when J got home and we did family things! I love those times together. Then Monkey took a nap and I put a movie on for GG and I went to the grocery store. No I didn't leave the kids home alone my two brothers were home and they knew the kids were here and they watched them while I went to Jewel. Man it was crazy busy in there. The check out lines were so long you couldn't even walk by to go to the next isle. When Monkey woke up we took a nice long walk. When we got back I didn't feel like cooking so Becky and I took the kids to McDonalds we ate then the kids played. We were there for almost 2 hours. GG made a friend while we were there and I felt bad for Monkey because they were playing until the other girl got there. But I guess that won't be the last time that happens and who knows next time Monkey might find a friend. There was stuff I have been meaning to write about new stuff the kids are doing but now it isn't new and I can't remember what it was. Funny how that works! I will say that Monkey has started pooping in the potty again. I am so happy about that, he actually went when we were at McDonalds. Oh well if I remember the stuff I will hopefully get to write about it tomorrow!!!

Well I just typed all this stuff and Monkey erased it. Basically I wrote that there is really nothing new. This morning I went to work kidless. Monkey was asleep this morning and didn't get up until 10:30 and I got off at noon. I came home and spent some time with my boys before J had to go to work. Now I am packing to go to my in laws for the night. GG called us last night and was having so much fun. I can't wait to see her and hear more about her fun night :) No new houses on the market today either.

Here is the run down of the day! GG wasn't feeling well last night so she stayed home with J today. I actually left them both with him because Monkey was asleep when I left and I just couldn't wake him up. Then when I got home we had lunch and hung out with Melissa and Kiera (they are in for a visit) we played outside on bikes, with bubbles, and sidewalk chalk. Then we packed GG's bag and took her to school to spend the night at grandma and grandpa A's house. We dropped her off and took Monkey to see the movie Shrek 2. It was cute but it was very annoying listening to everyone cracking up about things that weren't really *that* funny. Plus it had a swear word in it. Come on it is a children's movie, seriously. I am glad we didn't take GG and only took Monkey because she would remember things more. Afterwards we took him to McDonalds for dinner. It was weird having just Monkey but he loved all the attention from mommy and daddy :) When we got home we watched some home movies of the kids as babies and toddlers. Then we decided that we should record Monkey outside on his bike and then again when we got inside. We just recorded GG at her ballet recital too! We get so bad at doing those things sometimes but we are going to be happy when they are older and we have the pictures and recording of them even if they are few and far in between! Update on house...we put a bid on a house in the town J works and it was better then the other one but the seller stuck with the first bid he got even though it was lower. So I guess that is God's way of telling us that that wasn't the house for us.

Man I think I am getting really bad at this thing! So yesterday we went to work got home at noon. I had a doctor's appointment and then we looked at a few houses. We were planning on taking the kids to the King's Yomen at church but we weren't able to get there in time, we were putting another bid on a house. So instead after dinner we took the kids to the Y and went swimming. We had tons of fun. Then off to Wal-mart we went to get a couple things. That was pretty much our day yesterday. Today I went to work, GG had class today we brought snacks that she picked out so she was pretty excited about that. J picked her up after her class and when they got home he noticed that she was hot so he took her temperature and she had a 102. When I got home I finished my cover letter, resume and reference page to turn into the school for the preschool job. We also had to stop at the realtor's to sign some papers before went to see grandma at school. Tonight Monkey, grandma and I went grocery shopping. J stayed with GG because she was sleeping. I really dislike when she is sick because she isn't my fun loving little girl all she wants to do is lay on the couch. But I do love when she snuggles with me! Tomorrow night she is spending the night at her grandparents which she is super excited about :) One more thing...lately when I tell Monkey, "I love you" He responds with "I love you so much!" He is such a sweetie. Well that is it for now.

Wow it has been awhile! Our days have been filled with taking walks, playing at the park, working, and looking at houses. So tonight I took the time to clean things and get much needed laundry done. GlamorGirl lost her baby doll at a house we walked through on Saturday and we are getting it back tomorrow, thank God! I have a funny story that happened involving Monkey but not really about him! I was at work and he wanted to nurse so we, of course, nursed! Another employee's little boy came up to me and asked if Monkey was biting me?!?! It was funny. The mom told him that he was eating and not to worry about it. You never know how the other mom wants to handle a situation like that. To me it is always best to tell the child the truth. For instance, I told GG what happened to me. I was crying and she was very concerned about me being sad. So I told her the truth in a loving way and she understood and cried with me. It was the sweetest thing in the world to me. Ok other than that we really haven't found another house we love so we have been looking! Our realtor Amber and I talk all the time and I am going to be sad when we do find a house...I will still call her. We figured out that her son Jake and GG will be in the same class at the private school and her son Noah and Monkey will be too! Her kids are each three months older than mine so we have tons in common :) Today GG had fun talking with my cousin Chad. He came to put a new door on the house and new railing that is child safe. He has been here for over 14 hours. But his work looks great. Well I am really tired...can't image why?!?!
Friday, May 21, 2004
I'll start from yesterday...I woke up and took a shower. Next thing I knew GlamorGirl was in the bathroom and getting in the shower with me. Then she gets out and tells me she doesn't want to get wet. I didn't tell her she had to take a shower anyway, what a goof. We went to work and GG went to her preschool class. They were so cute in their class all the girls had dress up clothes on! It was rainy out so we didn't go outside at all. But we played inside! Then last night after I changed Monkey into his pjs and put a new diaper on he told me he had to go potty. So we ran in there and I took his diaper off and he peed on the potty. That is the first time he went potty were he peed I was super excited! I think he is going to teach himself, because he has already started. Today GG and I went to work again. Work was fun today because we are planning a surprise wedding shower for my friend Amanda! After Monkey's nap we went to the park to play...it was a little muddy from the rain yesterday. GG was going to spend the night at my in laws "all by myself" as she tells everyone, but it didn't work out so we are doing it next weekend. So one more week of "Is it Friday yet?" Other than that we are looking at two houses tomorrow in the town I want to live in. Then we have a meeting with Christine from the Bank to talk about our options. She called tonight and I talked to her it was pretty funny. She said that with our credit and having no debt that the bank would approve us for way more then we are looking at. She said we could probably go 30 to 50 thousand more. We don't really want to do that...we want to be able to live and eat too! Even though she told us that everyone else she gives loans to are living way outside of their means. That much wouldn't be outside ours. But J and I aren't comfortable with spending that much money. We do have two small children at home :) Ok enough of that. I should get the kids ready for bed soon and go there myself. I also need to get to the dentist some time soon and get my cavity filled. I hate doing that and that is why I have not done it yet even though I have known for about 3 months! Well that is it for now...until tomorrow!

Wow what a day. I went to work came home ate and we were off to look at some more houses. Amber took us to see 4 houses and we didn't like any of them. One of them was really big but laid out funky. Then J took his mom to the department to shoot and I took the kids to a park to play. It was cool because a bunch of kids came soon after we got there. So GG and Monkey had friends to play with. We got home and ate. After dinner J cleaned his guns from shooting and the kids and I played. I should mention that yesterday while I went grocery shopping J gave the kids a bath and played with the train with them. They really like the train set but when we get it out it takes up so much room. We really need a bigger space so we can play with it more often. Oh my older brother Kevin is looking for a house too so he is talking with the same Realtor as us. He is only looking for a 2 bedroom so there will be no conflict in houses!!! Well I am off to look on the net for more houses before I go to bed.
Tuesday, May 18, 2004
I didn't look at any houses today but J did. After he got out of court he met with Amber and looked at a house in the town he works it was bad I guess. I don't know anything but what he told me about it but he said it was no good, I trust him. We have plans to look at two more tomorrow so hopefully that will go good. I worked this morning and this afternoon we really didn't do much because it was cold and rainy. Tonight I went grocery shopping with Roberta and she asked me if we are ok living here. Like are we having a hard time living here. I told her no because we really aren't. She said that the other day when we told them we put a bid on a house she looked at the kids and got sad that they might be moving out soon. Her and my dad talked and they said we could stay here for the next 20 years! Thanks but no thanks :) It will be nice to have our own place but we really aren't in a big hurry. So when it happens is really ok. Christine was suppose to drop off some grant stuff but she didn't show up so I will have to give her a call tomorrow to see what happened to her. We finally got to meet Becky's boyfriend tonight so that was fun. Something that happened that I thought was cute. Monkey was sitting on the couch next to me and I was eating an ice cream sandwich. Monkey asked, "What's that?" So I told him it was an ice cream sandwich. He then repeated it and J and I got a kick out of the way he said it. It was cute. GG has been very cuddly lately which I just love. She knows mommy is sad and she comforts me, way too sweet. I love that little girl so much. I love my little Monkey-man too. He is such a flirt! He flirts with all the ladies at work and they think he is just too cute with that little grin of his. He is just like his father...a BIG flirt!!! I love you J :)

I swear my life has been crazy this past week or so. Today I worked for an hour and a half for my friend so that wasn't bad. I am working tomorrow for another friend who worked for me when I was really sick in Feb so I own her she has court things to deal with so J if you read this don't be mad at me, you know what I am talking about. Anyway today we looked at yet another house. This one made me mad. We looked at it and wanted to put an offer on it so our realtor called and asked if it was under contract. Well it was but he said it wasn't...the seller wanted to see if we would pay more for it. What jerks. They rejected our highest offer so that was that. It wasn't a big loss because it was right next to 53 which is incredibly busy. But it was a nice house minus the noise from the street. We got to see where our realtor lives (when we did the contract) and our kids got to play together she has a 3 yr old and a 2 yr old at home and a 6 yr old in school. Anyway we got home from that whole ordeal about 4:30 just in time to make dinner. It was Travis' birthday today so we had cake and ice cream too. I feel like I have been on the phone non-stop with our realtor she sends us houses and then I call her about them. She has one in the town J works in that is higher then our price range but she said the seller is getting desperate to sell so maybe she would take our offer. It is a nice size house with 4 bedrooms and 2 full baths but no garage but that is something we could get in the future if we buy this house. It is in a great location and in the town we eventually want to live so why not go for it??? J is going to look at it tomorrow after court, he knows me well enough to know if I will like it and if he thinks I will like it then we can go back and look together. It would just be a good idea to move out of this house, too much tension. Ok so that was the jest of the day. The funny things that happened today are...GG decided to go down the stairs a new way today and Monkey thought he would try too. Well he fell and ended upside down on top of GG's back. She was trying to keep him from falling but she was getting hurt. J was able to get to the stairs in time to grab his legs that were in the air and pull him up. He would of seriously got hurt because he would of landed on his head. Not really funny but totally a Monkey thing to do. Monkey see monkey do, I tell ya! Then at lunch today GG was being her nutty self and she said to me, "Mommy when you were my age, and I was your mommy, you took your shirt off. I told you to put it back on. You did! You were a good girl because you listened." Can you tell we have been working on listening skills? They are getting better but she tests us so much. She is a kid and she wants things her way (all the time) and sometimes that just can't happen. Well I think I used up all the words allowed on blogger :)

This morning we didn't go to church. For one, J had to work tonight and we would of both had to drive there last night, I wasn't able too. Secondly, we both wanted to get a good nights sleep in our own bed. So we just did family things this morning. Then J left for work and the kids and I cleaned Princess' bowl and put away laundry and just did other things around the "apartment". We were both bummed out about the house we put a bid on because they took another couples bid over ours. But if that contact falls through the house is ours. The chances of that happening is slim to none. This house was awesome, have I said that already? It had a family room 22x15, living room 20x12, kitchen 13x12, Dining room 14x11, Master bedroom 14x12 (with two closets) 2nd bedroom 11x10 (also two closets), 3rd bedroom 10x9, 2 full bathrooms and it had a laundry room with a sink and cabinets. On top of that it had a wood burning fireplace, 1 1/2 car garage detached, a gas grill that is hooked up to the gas line in the house, a nice back yard, cement for the kids to ride their bikes on and in a nice neighborhood. So as you can see this house was sweet. No wonder it sold after only being on the market for 2 days, it didn't even have a for sale sign in the yard yet. Ok I am going to stop dwelling on the fact we aren't getting that house. We will have to keep looking and hopefully find something as nice and big! Back to our day...when I went to my meeting my dad took Monkey to the park to play and Becky took GG on a walk to her friend's house. Then after we ate dinner I took both the kids to the park to play, it was so nice out. I forgot to mention this the other day but at work we had a bird come in for the kids. GG got to hold it on her hand. That was really neat and it crawled up her arm to sit on her shoulder. She was pretty excited about that because she was the only one that got to hold it. Well I should go to bed because I am working for a co-worker tomorrow her son has a fever. After my experience on Friday night and people covering for me at work on Saturday I am happy to help someone else out.

These last few days have been crazy busy. Yesterday I worked came home ate real quick jumped in the car and went to the doctor's. Got home at 4pm from that. Then at 7pm I ended up in the ER for the rest of the night. Long story that I really don't want to share. Today I slept most of it because it was a really really long night. At 4pm today we met our realtor at a house and we looked at 3 different houses. We fell in love with the second one we looked at and even put a bid on it. So we might be home owners soon. This house was huge and prefect for our family. We'll see what happens from here! But I am tired so I am going to bed at 9:15...J is the most amazing person. He didn't get any sleep either last night and he has watched the kids while I slept. He is the best husband!

Ok I got sucked in again. I worked this morning and this afternoon I got a call asking me to come in because the lady that was suppose to work had to take her little boy to the hospital. He had a high fever and a lump on his neck. That is so scary. So I of course told her yes. But you know what if me or my kids were sick I would want someone to cover for me. This morning at work GG went to her preschool class. They made paper chickens today so she has been playing with it, really cute to watch. I talked to the realtor for over an hour today. She was explaining some things to me and talked about certain houses and stuff. GG helped me make dinner tonight...I was hoping that if she helped she would then want to eat it. She has been really picky lately on what she eats. I got her to eat a couple bits. I guess it isn't a huge deal because she eats a really big lunch and she eats breakfast and has snacks during the day. It just frustrates me that she doesn't eat the food I make her. I even let her pick what we eat, oh well. She won't always be like this at least I hope! Tonight at work I worked with a bunch of highschoolers. They are so funny to talk too. Completely different conversations then my co-workers from the morning :) They talked about clothes, zits and school. It brought me back to my high school days. The day timers talk about parenting things. I couldn't believe Monkey today. He slept from 2:15 to 5:15. That is the longest nap he has ever taken and GG took a nap today too so that was why I was able to talk to the realtor for so long! I keep forgetting to mention this about my boy Monkey...he is in the "WHY?" or "What is that?" phase. We ask or tell him something then he says "why" we answer it and then he asks why about our answer and it goes on. Finally we say why not or ask him a question in which he responds "cause" he learned from the best...he big sister. Whenever we ask her a question she says cause, then gives us an answer he just hasn't gotten that far yet. Right now he is singing to me while I type. I think it will be a long night with him because he took such a long nap. I might just put on a movie and try to fall asleep on the couch, yeah like he would let that happen :)
Wednesday, May 12, 2004
Wow what a jam packed day we had. I started back at work today after being away for 2 weeks. There are a lot of new people working there now. We have the college kids back and a few new hires. So that was cool. I love meeting new people I always think that is fun. I just don't like to have to start all over like when you move :) Well GG and I came home ate lunch real quick and were out the door for her last ballet class. GG bought her teacher a present and was super excited to give it to her. She kind of butted in front of another little girl so she could give Ms. Julie her present. She is such a goof...she loves giving presents to people. Then we had a great surprise, grandma A. came to watch GG's recital. GG had asked her yesterday if she could come so we didn't give her much time but she came. She also had grandma M. and Aunt Becky there. I have never seen GG so excited. She didn't stop smiling the whole time. Tonight my dad was mad that we didn't ask him to come watch her. For some reason I didn't even think to ask the grandpas if they wanted to come. I felt so bad. After J left Monkey took a nap and GG watched a movie while Becky and I watched Kill Bill. That was such a bloody movie. I am so glad the kids weren't watching it. I had no idea what it was about, so it was a good thing that Becky told me it wasn't kid friendly! The bad part is now I need to watch the second one so I know what happens. Don't you just hate that? A couple of Becky's friends came over to hang out for awhile and the kids just ate up all the attention. Becky is one of the only ones that have nieces and nephews in her group of friends. So they get just as entertained by the kids as the kids are by them. It is really fun to watch! My maid of Honor called me tonight and I was so excited to talk to her it has been forever. We have been friends since 5th grade and we could talk once a year and it feels like we talk every week. I love those kinds of friends. Well I need to get little Monkey to sleep...he has gotten harder to get to sleep lately. Goodnight :)

Today was great fun. This morning we spent as a family and that was nice. J called a couple places to get things rolling on buying a house and the lady at the bank told me that she has never seen two people with as good of credit as us. I have always known we have great credit but to be told we have the best of anyone she has ever seen in her 20 years there was really cool. This afternoon when Monkey woke up from his nap we went to the park to play. Amanda was there so we got to catch up. We were there for over an hour it was so much fun. I was glad it was a nice day out and we were able to play outside. When we got back from the park we cut and painted GG's finger and toe nails purple. We haven't done that in a long time, which made her really excited. Then we came home and ate dinner. GG said something that was really funny and weird at dinner but I can't remember what it was. I even asked Roberta if she remembered and she doesn't. I will have to ask Becky to see if she remembers. Tonight was a little different for me. Roberta and I went grocery shopping and both kids stayed home with Becky, Kevin and my dad. At first, it was nice to go without worry about them, but at the second store we went to I started feeling naked without them. The first store we went to was Cosco...or as I call it the everything in it is Huge store. You have to buy everything in bulk. We were going to get laundry detergent and it was 300 fluid oz normal size is half that. But it is cheaper to shop there. Something J and I will have to look into it when we move out. I also got to get some laundry done so that makes me happy. The washer and dryer have been in use the past few days. That's what happens when there is 9 people living in one house, right? Well I start back at work tomorrow so I should get little monkey man to sleep so I can go to sleep.

This morning we after we got up we took the kids to the park. They each rode their bikes there, which took two times longer but they loved it. It was such a beautiful day out, until it rained. Grandma and grandpa got back from North Carolina and we hung out with them for awhile. GG showed them her new earrings that she got. They are hoops just like mommy's! That makes them extra special. GG has a fat lip now...Liz dropped the phone on her and cut her lip open. That girl has had so many fat lips it is crazy. We left right before dinner because they had to go to the last Powerhouse and they had no food. On the way home J and I had a wonderful talk that jumped from topic to topic. It was really good for us to talk about. The car ride was about 45 minutes! We need to have more deep conversation like today. Tonight I put away all the laundry that has piled up over the last few days. The kids and J jumped on the bed while I did that. GG hit her head on the wall and then Monkey fell off the bed. That is when we called it quits. Also we were going to look at a house today but we decided to wait until J's parents can go with us. We have seen pictures of it and J doesn't think he is going to like it but you never know...we might like the way it looks in real life. I'll update you when we look at it and what we thought of it. Goodnight.

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there! This morning we went to church. In Sunday school the class wished me and another mom a happy mother's day that was nice. GG and Monkey made me a necklace in their class. That was sweet. Then during the church service they had all the moms stand up and they sang Happy Mother's Day to the tune of Happy Birthday. It was cute. Of course they prayed for us too. We came home and made homemade pizzas, yummy. J let me take a nap today and it was great. I slept so good and not too long that I will have trouble tonight sleeping. It was prefect. Tonight for dinner we went to Bakers Square so that was nice. The funny thing is that though this day is set aside to be special for mothers it wasn't any different then most days. All my days are fulled with great things and surprises. My children's I love yous and my hubby just being his sweet self. I did feel honored today but I feel that way everyday! I have a great family.

This morning J and I were laying in bed talking...Monkey walked in the room as J sneezed. J asked Monkey to go get him the roll of toilet paper in the bathroom. Monkey came back with the teeniest little piece of toilet paper. We laughed so hard it hurt! After we got up and out of bed we went shopping for my mother's day present. J took me to Target to get my some new clothes. I wanted church clothes, mainly skirts and shirts, easier to nurse in. I found two outfits I liked so we ended up not going anywhere else. I still get to pick out some shoes to go with my new clothes but I will get them probably Monday. We came home and cleaned the fish bowl GG helped me. Then she decided that the bowl needed to be decorated with stickers from the oranges! After that was done I let her color with a pen. I happened to leave her for a few minutes and when I came back she had made lines on both of her arms. That is going to look lovely in church tomorrow :) Oh well she is a kid, right? For dinner I cooked for 10 people (two which were my kids). That was a lot of fun. I love cooking for people. I made a pork roast, noodles, green beans, fruit and brownies! My dad's friend Andy and his wife Joyce were over and GG wanted to go home with them because he told her they have a trampoline. So she has been talking about us getting a trampoline now even though I don't know if she knows what they are?!?! She might, she surprises me all the time with what she knows. Then we came to J's parents house with Elizabeth, who won 1st prize at State for the science fair. Way to go Liz!!! That is pretty cool to win a gold for State. Tonight we let the kids ride their bikes outside at grandma and grandpa's house. It was a really nice night. The neighbors came out to play. Their oldest is a month older than Monkey and they have a 4 month old. So their kids are about 18 months apart like mine. She was really nice and when we pulled in J said she had the baby in a sling so she is pretty cool in my book :) When we came inside we had some pie! Now we are getting ready for bed, we have church in the morning.

Today was kind of chilly, but I took the kids to the park anyway. We needed to get out of the house for awhile. GG scared me to death tonight. I was on the phone and she came downstairs and got her shoes on and told me she was going outside. I asked her with who and she said, "myself". I got off the phone and came up and she was outside. At first I thought she was by herself then I saw my brother was with her. She totally scared me. It was dark out! I don't know what I am going to do with her. Now Monkey lately has been asking why after everything we say to him. "Monkey come here"..."Why?" Also if you ask him why he did something he says "cause". Also when we were away at my mom's he started pooping in his pants again. I think it was because of being gone but we are trying to get him back to the pooping only on the potty. He was doing so good too. Oh well. Tonight has been a little different because Becky and Travis are both home from college and J worked tonight. He had taken the last three days off. So he works tonight then has the next three days off. GG has been a handful. I put her in bed about a million times tonight. The worse part about it is that she was falling asleep on the couch at 7 but when I put her to bed at 8 she keeps getting out. Today I answered a questionnaire about me and one of the questions was what is the silliest thing your children have done. It made me realize that I have stopped telling their silly stories. I really don't want to forget them so I am going to try and get better at taking note of their silliness! Like while we were in New Mexico Monkey was sitting on the chair next to me while I talked to my mom. He had a big grin on his face and she told him he was silly. He started laughing, which made her laugh. Then she said, "You are funny" he pointed to himself and said, "funny" Then she said, "You are a character" he pointed to himself and tried to say, character but it came out like, "chairiture" She said he was a nut, goof and silly he did the same thing after each thing. It was really cute to watch him interact with my mom. His grandma cookie! You know GG said something to me today that was just hysterical but I can't remember what it was for the life of me. Let me think...oh she was telling me, "I thought you were going to leave me but instead you came in and I think it is wonderful." She said that when I tucked her into bed. I always tuck her in so it was really funny that she said that!?!? Kids :)

I totally forgot to update yesterday. I guess that is what happens when you get out of the habit! Today was fun...GG and I went to her friend Emily's 3rd birthday party. It was at a Chocolate place. We made a ton of chocolate treats, had pizza, watched her open presents, and had cake. GG is on a sugar high!!! Then we went to the doctor and now we are back. Tonight I plan on watching the final show of Friends. This afternoon we are just going to spend time as a family. I really need that right now.

We are back from New Mexico and we had a great time. There was walks, playing at the park, trip to the mall, pictures, and various other things that we did. GG loved playing with her uncles! Monkey had fun too but he was a little more shy then her. GG helped grandpa build a swing set that she thought was just too cool. But we just got back and I am really tired so I am going to end this. I will start updating more now that we are back.
