I forgot to mention this yesterday but Monkey had two firsts…his first tooth broke through, it was the bottom left and he pulled himself to a standing position. He hasn’t really pulled himself up today but we haven’t been home that much were he has been awake that is. Which brings me to today. I am going on very little sleep due to my poor little girl who couldn’t get herself to sleep last night. She just kept coughing, tossing and turning she couldn’t fall asleep. Finally at 4am I make a decision that no matter how much she didn’t want her medicine she was going to get it because I was tired and needed to go to sleep plus, J had to be at work at 6:45am. If I would of known she was going to fall asleep right after getting her medicine I would of given it much sooner. However, I really didn’t want to fight her to get it in her, I was tired. So now that we have established that I am tired here is what we did today. We got up at 9:20am because that is what time Monkey woke up so both GG and I got up, GG needed a lot of help! We ate, got showered and ran to the grocery store to pick up root beer and cookies for our play date with Ethan. While we were in the shower GG asked, “where is daddy?” I told her at the hospital. She said, “No, he is fixing peoples owies and making them feel better. He gives them Band-Aids too.” I told her she was right. Then she adds, “He drives the ambulance and crashes.” I don’t know why she says that? We got to Ethan’s at 11am and stayed until 2pm. As we were leaving I decided that we should run out to the hospital (we were already out) and see J. We brought him some cookies. Then we came home and GG took a nap while Monkey and I played. Then Monkey fell asleep and GG fell off of the couch so she came over to the chair and sat on my lap just to fall back asleep again. So they were finally both asleep so I took advantage of it and fell asleep too. I got a half an hour. When we woke up Matt stopped by to give the kids an early Easter basket and stayed a talked for a while. I am glad that we were home because he didn’t call first. J came home at 7:15pm and we ate dinner, now we are relaxing and getting ready for bed. I think that we will all sleep good tonight at least I hope. J is off of work tomorrow and the only thing on the agenda is grocery shopping because we got home too late on Sunday. Oh yea, GG is doing much better she only has a cough and Monkey has three more days of medicine, he also seems to be doing much better and I am feeling better too.

Today we got up and went to church…but before I finish today I want to tell you something cute GG did last night. She wasn’t feeling well and she was cuddling with her daddy. She laid her head down on his left side right were he broke his collarbone. Where the brake happened there is a bump. She then said, “daddy I want the other side.” She wanted the unbroken one! Anyway, after church we went back to grandma and grandpa for lunch and left for home at 2:20pm. We wanted it to be at the kid’s naptime so they would sleep most of the way. We stopped half way for gas and then an hour later for dinner and bathroom brake. Finally we were home at 6:30pm and it is so good to be here. There is no other place I like better then my home! I am sure there are others that feel the same way. Now we are in the process of unpacking all of our laundry remember we did about 8 loads. I took a brake to update; now I am off again to put things away. That is always the worst part of going away. I hate unpacking. I hope everyone is doing good, we are starting to get better! Thank goodness, I don’t think I could take more of two sick kids at the same time. I also hate arguing with GG to get her to take her medicine, which usually goes like this…GG, “I don’t want to take my medicine.” Me, “it will make you all better.” Then she says, “I did it already.” I say, “no, you didn’t.” She says, “yes, I didn’t” then I tell her she is right she didn’t take it yet. She means to say, “yes I did!” I am really glad that Monkey can’t talk yet because he has been taking three medications :)

Let's see today we got up and packed the car and went to Grandma and Grandpa A's house. We went to JoAnn fabrics to get a patch for my pants. When we got home GG was taking her nap because we left her with the Grandparents! She woke up and was on fire. I took her temperature and it was 100.9 and she had not eaten anything for lunch. So we tried to get her to eat again and she wouldn't. This child is already tiny as it is she doesn't need to get any smaller. We asked her if she wanted to go to the wedding with us or stay home with Aunt Ribbit. She wanted to go so she came with us. At the wedding Monkey was voicing his opinion so I stepped outside with him so J could watch his friend get married. Plus, I didn't even want to go to this wedding. It is a long story but this girl has never been nice to me the whole time I have known her, no matter how nice I am to her. Moving along so when the wedding was over we came back to the house. Gave both the kids their medicines and GG a bath to get her temperature down. When she is done we are going to get something to eat and take it easy the rest of the day. This will probably be the only time I will get them both to bed early!

I am going to vent today. We went out to dinner with Grandma and Grandpa M. because Grandma won 1,000 on a radio show today. Anyways, we went to TGI Fridays. It was the longest I have ever waited to eat. When we got there the person said a half an hour. Not bad we'll wait. Well it turned into an hour with them telling us twice that we were the next to be seated. Let's just put it this way the people sitting around us all got seated. A new group of three parties sat down and got seated then a third group of three parties sat down before we got seated. The stupid girl had us as a party of 8 we had 5 adults with two kids. WE ONLY NEEDED 5 SEATS!!! Needless to say GlamorGirl was getting hungry along with everyone else. When we did get to eat the server we had was great, very polite, fast and organized. Then again we did order what we wanted right when we sat down because we had plenty of time to look at the menu while waiting! Then we went to get ice cream so I am completely stuffed. For the most part of the day while the grandparents were at work we did laundry and I say we loosely. It was really J that did the laundry and I watched the kids. We did go to the grocery store and get some pop because they didn't have any in the house. They had nothing in the house to be honest. They are leaving for vacation Sunday so that is why. The rest of the night my plan is to relax and let all of the food I just ate digest. Tomorrow it is suppose to snow I can't believe it, it is March almost April. Oh yeah I got two new pairs of pants from Becky so they are really old but new to me! I need to get two patches for them so the whole world doesn't see my behind. But they are free!

What a day. We got up at 9am and got ready. Jeff was at the hospital doing some training and came home at 12pm. Then started the craziness. We ate got all of our laundry together and packed up other things we needed for the weekend. Then we ran all over the town paying bills, buying things and getting Jeff's pay check. We were on the road to his parents by 2:45pm 45 minutes later than I had hoped, oh well. We only made two stops, one to gas up and go to the bathroom and the other to eat and use the bathroom. We got here at 8:15pm. Now we are going to start laundry so we have clean clothes to put on tomorrow. We decide to leave today because the kids are both sick and we weren't going to be able to go to playgroups tomorrow anyway. So that is it for today. Goodnight!

Last night when J and GG got home from Wal-mart she had a new item. He bought her sunglasses. She loves them! She got to wear them outside this morning while we played at the park. This morning was great the kids slept until 9:15!!! It was so nice to get extra sleep. Me and the kids are getting a cold of some sort. GG and I have runny noses and major drainage. Monkey has another URI the doctor thinks that he may have asthma. I don’t think I mentioned that yesterday. He is only getting 92% pulseoximetery which he should be getting 98% - 100% in other words he should be getting more oxygen with each breath then he is getting. I think that we are going to try and get him a breathing treatment system. Every time he gets one at the hospital or doctor’s office there is a great difference in his breathing, plus it helps him to cough up some of the congestion instead of just swallowing it. I am so glad that I didn’t give him that medicine for a rash because he is now on three medicines. It would be no fun for him or us to be giving him meds for about two weeks straight. The side effects of these meds are that Monkey has been pooping up a storm, his poor little butt is so sore, red and even started bleeding a little. I gave him a bath to soak his little butt and of course GG was right there wanting to get in the tub too. So they took a bath together. Then she got out and J got in to take a shower and Monkey was in there the whole time. I am hoping that being out of his diaper that long will help his little butt. Time will tell. J is reading books with the kids right now! I love my husband and children. I am so blessed! (Plus, I have great friends, I am not going to name you all but you know who you are!)

I am going to start from last night. Monkey, as well as J and I didn’t get very much sleep. He was very congested and was having problems breathing, no fever. We called his doctor and he wanted to see him at 8:30am today. I spent about 4 ½ hours sleeping in a recliner holding Monkey so he could breath easier. Needless to say I didn’t sleep in the recliner. But J being Mr. Wonderful he offered to take Monkey this morning, which I took him up on, I thought I would be able to sleep! Well I did for 20 minutes then GG woke up. I let her play in the toy room so I could get just a little more sleep. She of course played with the loudest toys in there and made it impossible to sleep. By the time J came home I was already awake enough that I wouldn’t be able to fall asleep right away. Oh well. Then Ethan and Kristen came over for lunch they were here from 11am to 2pm. The kids had fun playing inside and outside (even though it wasn’t as nice out today). Then GG, Monkey and J took naps. I tried but Monkey kept waking up as soon as I fell asleep so I gave up. Tonight before dinner GG and I ran to the grocery store we needed cheese. She is being so patriot lately. Whenever we are driving around she points out all of the US Flags. After dinner we went to workshop for dealing with power struggles with your kids. It was very informative with many laughs throughout. I can say I learned a few things. Now J and GG are at Wal-mart getting some things. When they come home we are going to have ice cream and take a bubble bath before bed!

This is going to be short because I am really tired. Last night GG was awake for about 2 hours just sitting in her bed looking at me. While she was doing that Monkey wanted to nurse every hour it seemed like it was probably more like 2 hours in between but when you are tired it doesn't matter. You just don't want to be awake! Anyway today is Joe's birthday, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! J was off of work today so we got to spend most of the day together. It was great. This morning we went grocery shopping because we didn't do it last night. After lunch I went to the scrapbook nook and got some really cool things for scrapbooking. I spent $25 which isn't that bad and I got four things. I got a circle and oval shape cutter, cutter and a cutter board. We played at the park today shock shock. It was so nice out. We grilled out and had steak kabobs and french fries. Before dinner GG and I ran back to the grocery store because we forgot a few things. Just now GG said, "we're sitting as a family" we are all sitting in a row, what a goof. She's good at stating the obvious!
Sunday, March 23, 2003
We woke up to late to get ready for church. We forgot to set the alarm, oops. That was ok with me because last night Monkey woke up about every 1 ½ to 2 hours wanting to nurse. I think that he is having a growth spurt. After we all got ready we went outside for a walk it was an awesome day out with the temp of 68! Half way through the walk J’s back started hurting so he went inside. He took Monkey with him because he had fallen asleep in the stroller. GG and I finished the walk and then went to the park to do some swinging! Then around 11:30am we went over to Ted and Joanna’s to get J’s scooter. I have to tell you this cute story of what happened in the car on the way over there. GG asked, “Daddy please open my window” so he did and she said, “thank you” J didn’t respond to her thank you so I told her she was welcome. Then she says, “thank you mommy for answering me!” It was too cute. We ended up staying there til about 1pm. It turns out that their neighbor is a friend of mine. When we got home we ate lunch and the little ones took naps. Right after they fell asleep J got paged to the hospital, he had to go on a transfer. At least he will be getting good money for it. The kids napped and when they woke up we played in the toy room for a while we haven’t played in there since it has been so nice out. It was a good change. J ended up getting home at 9pm so we didn’t end up going grocery shopping today like we normally do. But tomorrow J is off of work so we are going to do it then. I am also planning on going to the scrapbook nook by myself tomorrow. We’ll see if I will be able to leave Monkey tomorrow. I think he might be coming down with something again because he has started getting clingy like he does when he isn’t feeling good.
Saturday, March 22, 2003
Thank Goodness for Saturdays!!! J was on pager for transfers today and went in to the hospital twice for a total of 2 and a half hours. It was great having him home most of the day! This afternoon it was so nice out so J decided he was going to clean out the car, with GG's help :) So I put Monkey in the sling and we went for a walk together while they worked on the car. After the walk GlamorGirl and I played at the park and J and Monkey were in the house playing playstation2. When we came inside the phone rang and it was our friend Miranda. She came over to see our new place and play with the kids. GG gave Miranda the tour of our apartment. It was cute to see her walk through and tell Miranda each room. She is pretty proud of our new place especially her toy room. GG talked Miranda into a game of candyland, it is really hard to say no to our cute little GG! Both of the little ones had fun playing with Miranda. She couldn't believe how big Monkey has gotten and that he is so mobile. I still can't believe that he crawls but I knew it was going to come one day. Then tonight for dinner I took everyone out to Shooters. I didn't want to cook and I haven't used any of my $100 yet. After we ate we went over to our friend Matt's house. We weren't there very long but it was good to see him. So it was a very relaxed and busy day, if that is possible.
Friday, March 21, 2003
What a tiring day. We got up at 7:45am and we were out the door by 9:15am, by we I mean GG, Monkey and myself, J was subbing at Lincoln. I think I deserve an award for being super mom! It only took me an hour and a half to get all three of us fed, showered, dressed and on our way. It usually takes us over two hours to get ready in the morning and even when we have daddy's help it takes two hours at least. We went to playgroup and had a lot of fun playing. My friend Kristen the one that just found out she was pregnant told us that there is only one baby. (she had help getting pregnant and at the time of conception there were five follicles) She could of had five babies!!! It was a big relief to her to know there was only one. We were going to go to the support rally at Chandler Park for our troops but it was really windy and cold so I didn't want take the kids, besides GG was taking her nap at that time. It was so nice to have J come home at 2:30pm today. I wish he worked these hours every day but he doesn't. I can't complain because he doesn't work in house shifts very much. (the ones that he gets off at 7pm) When J got home from school we went to Clayton's house to get his bike he had stored there. Clayton is moving tomorrow. I made dinner while J and GG ran to the grocery store to get some things for tomorrow's lunches. HyVee's gas was 8 cents off today because it was the first day of spring so he also got gas for my car. After dinner I didn't feel so good so I laid down and still didn't feel good. I just wanted to sit in the tub and soak all by myself. But any mothers out there will know that never happens. I got in the tub and next thing I knew I had a naked little girl standing outside the tub asking to come in. So GG and I took a bedtime bath together. It was still somewhat relaxing, GG took a cup and poured water down my back. As she did that she said, "Make mommy feel better?" What a sweet little girl. I love her so much, along with the rest of my family! Oh yea, J claims that Monkey said Dada for the first time tonight. I didn't hear it but I guess I will believe him! That is it for us I am ready for bed.
Thursday, March 20, 2003
Today J woke up and was getting ready for work when the phone rang and it was his work saying he was suppose to be there at 7 not 9am. The schedule said 9 so he was right but he went in anyway. He told me last night that he was going to go to the store before work and get something for his lunch. So I knew that he didn’t have the chance because of the sudden change in the time he was suppose to be there. When we woke up we got ready and picked up Joanna and went to the store for J’s lunch. He didn’t know that I was going to do this! When I got to the hospital he was gone on a run so I left the food for him with a note. He called me and was very glad that I stopped by with food. I didn’t want my man going hungry while working all day. I need him to be good for when he gets home to play with the kids and do family things. Anyways, after we dropped that off we went back to Joanna’s house to hang out before she had classes. We came home ate lunch and the kids took naps. When they woke up it was really nice out so we took a long walk and then played at the park before coming inside. GG loves swinging and Monkey is pretty content to just watch but he does enjoy swinging too. I just thought that it was a little to cool out today to be pushing him in the swing. Then we danced to some music while waiting for daddy to get off of work. When he got home we all ate dinner. It was really a late dinner for us (7:30pm) but I really enjoy sitting together as a family and eating. We normal eat at 5:30ish. Update on Monkey’s rash…it has been a week and the rash (aka atopic dermatitis) is completely gone. Yes you read it gone and without help from any medicine. So if there are any mothers that read this next time your doctor gives your baby medicine for something check it out before giving it to them. Good sources are books, pharmacist or any other research ie other doctors! That is it for us here.

Today was a rainy day. I want the nice weather back. Let’s see what happened today. We got up and ready then I talked to my friend Joanna, who I haven’t talked to in about 2 months. It was good to talk to her, I missed her. Then GG took an early nap because J wasn’t paying attention so her whole day has been thrown off. Maybe she will go to bed early, we can always hope. This afternoon we went to the Union and looked in the bookstore and got a piece of sbarro’s pizza. Then J got paged so we all went to the hospital. We were there way longer than I had hoped to be. I actually wasn’t planning on being at there at all. Oh well. GG did great for being there about 2 hours. We walked down to see if there were any babies, but they were all with their mommies. That wasted some time. We came home and made dinner and then just spend the rest of the evening relaxing. J did put handcuffs on GlamorGirl and she came up to me and said, “I’m under arrest”. It was hilarious! We still haven’t heard anything from the police departments. Oh another funny thing happened. Well it really isn’t funny. The other night GG and Monkey were playing with the blinds, which is a big no no in our family. J scolded both GG and Monkey the first time Monkey has gotten in trouble. You know what he did? He laughed. I thought to myself this child is going to think everything is funny. We are going to have our hands full if he just laughs at us when he gets in trouble. Not much else happened here so until tomorrow good night.
Tuesday, March 18, 2003
Well last night was rough. I woke up with GlamorGirl in the bed next to me at 2 something. I moved her so I could have more room and rolled into a wet spot. I then checked her and she was wet. We all got up and changed the bedding and GG went to the bathroom. I feel bad she was sad and told me she tried to wake me up. I was so tired from watching Ellie and getting up early I didn’t hear her. I can’t complain this is only the third time she has wet the bed in over 6 months of being potty trained. I think that she is doing great. Hopefully next time I will hear her. Today J had off so we all got to sleep in until 9:30am it was great. Then we got up and ready and spent a lot of time at the park playing and taking a walk as a family. We even did a little cam cording of the kids on the swings. Then tonight after dinner the New Parent Program had a Gym night from 6 to 7:30pm. We all went, then Breckin and I left early to go to the LLL meeting at 7pm. We got back at 8:30 and J and GG got home shortly after. Then we started our nightly routine of getting ready for bed. Monkey is already sleeping and GG is pretty close and this is early for both of them. Tonight I also got my fill of McDonalds shamrock shacks on the way to the LLL meeting. Well I am off to bed.

HAPPY ST. PATTY'S DAY!!!!!!! Oh my goodness I don’t think that I could get up at 7:45am every morning. I rolled out of bed to watch Ellie. I was very glad that when she got here she was sleeping. I tried to go back to sleep but couldn’t. Monkey woke up at 8:10am. So I played with him downstairs while the girls slept. J had gotten paged in to the hospital right before Ellie got here. He got home about 10 minutes after they woke up. It worked out good. I took my shower while he watched the three of them. Then I gave Monkey a bath and tried to put him to sleep. So J watched him while I gave GG and Ellie a bath. Then when we were done the girls and I went outside and played at the park. Belinda came for lunch; we had pizza, which GG helped me make. After Belinda went back to work we settled the kids down and I tried to get all three of them to sleep at the same time. It would of worked if the furniture guys didn’t come right before GG fell asleep. (At least Monkey and Ellie slept at the same time.) We got a new couch because the other one had bad wood. It looks exactly the same just a different batch of wood. Then when all the kids were awake we went back outside. I just couldn’t keep them inside it was so nice out. We took a walk this time. When Belinda got off of work she stayed for dinner. (It was previously arranged) We grilled out! It was a big dinner with steaks, corn on the cob, mashed potatoes, watermelon and strawberry shortcake for dessert. From being outside for most of the day I am really tired so I am going to get Monkey and leave GG for J and go to bed. By the way last night we did not go to bed early. But I did try. Also last night after I posted Monkey started to crawl!!! Good thing for me that he isn’t very fast yet. Another thing that GG has started to do which is very cute, she kisses you and says, “I get your sugar!” Well that is about it. J has a doctor's appointment please pray for him and his back! Thank you.

Today was another nice day. We got up and went to church. After church we went and got something to eat at the grocery store. We came home ate then GlamorGirl took a nap. While she slept J took Monkey to the store to look at somethings he was thinking about buying. They were gone a little over an hour. It was great. GG was sleeping and Monkey was with daddy. You would think that I just relaxed or did something fun that I have been wanting to do. But not the case. I decided that it was time to start spring cleaning. We have the weather for it, right? In that hour I got more house work done then J does in 3 hours. It was great. When J came home he could tell that I had been cleaning which made me feel good that all that work wasn't for nothing. When GG woke up we went grocery shopping like we do every Sunday. Came home unloaded the food and took a family walk outside in the wonderful weather. J's back starting hurting so he and Monkey went inside. GG and I stayed outside and played at the park. She really enjoyed the sand box. We came inside and GG helped me make dinner, we had chicken with shake n bake. It was pretty good. Then after dinner Crissy and Carlie came over to play. We haven't seen them in a long time and it was really good to catch up. Oh yeah my older brother called me tonight too. But I'm not going to talk about that because it just makes me sad. I am going to try and get the kids to bed early tonight (I know I say that a lot but this time I am really going to try) because we are watching Ellie tomorrow and she is coming at 7:45am!
Saturday, March 15, 2003
This morning we woke and I tried to do a little cleaning before we got ready and went to Brian and Alyssa’s wedding. GG’s friend Carlie is coming to town and so hopefully the girls will get to play. I forgot to mention yesterday but Monkey has started to move forward. He isn’t crawling on his hands and knees but he is definitely moving! We went to the wedding and it was great. We saw people we haven't seen in a long time and they got to meet our two little precious children. At the reception GlamorGirl caught the bouquet. It was really funny Alyssa threw the flowers and they just landed on the ground. I motioned for GG to go get them so she picked the flowers up and handed them back to Alyssa. GG thought Alyssa dropped it and wanted it back! It was very sweet. We ate, talked, and danced it was great. Now we are home and we are all very tired. Each of us are going to take a bath to get the smoke smell off of our skin before we head to bed. We have church tomorrow morning!
Friday, March 14, 2003
Another beautiful day here. We got up and ran some errands before we met our playgroup at Burger King for lunch and playing. BK was absolutely crazy with kids we forgot that it was spring break. Oh well they all had fun. Just as we were leaving J's pager went off and he had to go in, it was perfect timing. He dropped us off and left. After all of that playing both the kids were tired so they took a nap. When they woke up we went outside and played at the park and then took a walk. While we were walking we made some new friends. There is a family that lives in the apartments next to us that have a girl a little older than GlamorGirl and a boy a month younger than Monkey. They had a lot of fun playing with each other. Hopefully they will get to play with each other more. When J came home from the transfer we ate dinner and gathered up our laundry to go to the laundry mat. There was two other babies there and a couple of kids for GG to play with. We all had fun, I know you are probably thinking in a laundry mat? But when you are with people that you love being with you can have fun anywhere. Now we are home and it is late so we are going to put the laundry away tomorrow. It is bed time now.
Thursday, March 13, 2003
Today we slept in and it was really nice. We got up and started the day at 9am! GG and I ran to the consignment shop to drop off some clothes and look at clothes they have there. We came home and had lunch then daddy left for the hospital. He had an MRI done today. We still haven’t heard anything from the police departments yet. Then this afternoon after GG woke up from her nap we went to the park to play. It wasn’t as nice out today so we didn’t stay out as long. This evening we went to Wal-mart it was nice we got a new spring jacket for Monkey, a skirt for me, and some wedding presents. Speaking of weddings I am going to tell you a scenario and I would love to hear your opinion about it. You get invited to a wedding that is four hours away and it is an adult only thing. You have two small children one of which is only breastfed. Even if neither of them were breastfeeding you don’t know anyone there that could watch your children. You haven’t really been friends or talked with this person for about 7 years. But they do know that you have children. Would you go or not? And Why? Please tell me what you think. Thank you.

What a gorgeous day today! Happy Birthday Grandma A. Monkey and I got up and went to the doctor’s office. He said to give him the medicine that he prescribed, and then he wrote another prescription for a cream. But while we were there he said something that drove me absolutely crazy. The doctor told me Monkey needed to start eating baby food. He weighed 20lbs 6oz he has gained 8oz since Feb 28th. I think that he is growing just fine thank you doctor! Besides when I try and give him food he won’t eat it. I think that both Monkey and I have a better idea of when he is ready to start eating food then some doctor that sees him maybe 5 minutes every month or so. When we got back from the doctor we all went over to Win, Mary and Ben’s house to play and have lunch. I told them what happened at the doctor (about the rash) and they looked it up in two different medical books that they have. I have come to the conclusion that I am going to eliminate orange juice from my diet and see if that clears it up. The books both said it maybe the cause I guess we’ll see. So Monkey will not be getting the medicine unless taking the oj out of my diet doesn’t work. While we were at their house we had some awesome homemade pizza! The best I have ever had. After we ate Win and J took GG and Ben on a wagon ride to feed their neighbors horses. Mary and I talked which was nice. We were there from 11 to 2. We stop quickly at the chiropractor before coming home. When we got home GG rested on the couch for about 20 minutes and was ready to go again. Being so nice out we all went outside to play at the park. Then we took a family walk. I am so glad that it has decided to warm up. We had the windows open and it felt so good. Tonight GG and J made bread. It made the whole place smell so good.

Many things happened today, please bear with me. We got up and I called the doctor. Monkey has a rash on his chest and it has gotten worse and spread. The doctor wasn’t taking appointments today so he called in two prescriptions for him the receptionist told me one would be a cream and the other an antihistamine. After we got ready we all ran errands. Today the refund check came in the mail from Federal. Yea! So off to the bank we went and then we picked up Monkey’s prescriptions and they were both oral. I was so mad. He is a baby. In my opinion I think that a doctor should see a child before giving them a bunch of antibiotics and medicines. I called the doctor again and made an appointment for tomorrow, I’m not giving Monkey the medicine until the doctor sees what he has. I am just so sick of drugging my baby up on all this medicine. Since he has been born he has been on at least four different medications if not more. All right I am done venting. I will try and update you on the appointment tomorrow if I remember. After we got home it was naptime and J had a doctor’s appointment for his back again. He has another appointment on Thursday so we’ll see what happens with that. If I don’t update you on J, and you want to know just click on the link for J’s web log and you can read all about him! After the kids woke up from their naps we went to get J’s truck that has been in the shop all day. He got up early and took it there then the guys brought him home. It was nice not to have to go along with him. When we got home from that GG and I made turtle brownies to take to our friend’s house tomorrow. (I forgot to mention yesterday that she helped me make bbq beef for dinner. She poured the sauce in while I mixed.) The kitchen was full because at the same time J was making dinner (we had steaks) and Monkey was in his saucer watching us all. Then came dinnertime and we decided it was time for Monkey to go in the highchair (even though he doesn’t eat food yet) and GG to sit at the table with us. Well GG thought otherwise and threw a huge fit about how it was her chair. Even though she eats lunch everyday at the table and not in her highchair. Finally she realized that it was ok for Monkey to be in the highchair and for her to sit with mommy and daddy at the table. I just hope it won’t be like that every night, cause we are not buying another highchair. After dinner J and GG made blueberry muffins. She loves to help us cook and she takes a very active roll in it, sometimes too active! Virginia the way we make our refrigerator look full is by buying lots of drinks. So, by the end of the week it looks empty again. I am going to just relax the rest of the night, maybe try and get the kids to bed early since we have a doctor’s appointment in the morning. Last night GG fell asleep with the blanket over her head, daddy was watching tv. It was too bright for her. Tonight GG put the pasta strainer on her head (her hard hat) and sang Bob the Builder’s theme song. What a goof.

Update on GlamorGirl’s sleeping…she has been in her own bed every night except the night J went home. She came in the bed at around 4am. Also Monkey has started playing peek-a-boo with us this last week. It is too cute. He puts his head on my chest looking down and then I say where is Monkey?...and he looks up. He loves to play this new game with us. Today we had a wonderful day. Brian, Melissa and Cole came over to play and have lunch. We always say that Cole is GG’s boyfriend. Anyway they came around 10:30am and left at 1pm. Neither one of the kids wanted the fun to end. Oh well. Tonight we watched Fear Factor, that is such a gross show but I can’t help but watch it. J worked on pager so he wore his uniform all day, GG was telling Brian and Melissa that daddy worked at the hospital and drives the ambulance. It was funny because Brian works with him!!! Also today we got the privilege of talking to Virginia and Joe on the phone. We miss you guys move back here. Well we haven’t heard anything with J’s job yet. We are hoping to find out something by the 28th of March maybe earlier. For the last month GG has start the never ending questions. I am just glad that she doesn’t use the why question yet. Most of the time it is where is…what is that…or how come? At least we know that she wants to learn more. We are trying to raise her as a popular dork! I’m sure she will one day use the why question but we are hoping not for a while because they are harder to have answers for! That is about all for here.

Let's see what happened here today. We got up, went to church, came home, ate lunch, put the kids down for a nap, watched J's movie pick, and then we went grocery shopping. I have come to realize that most of Tom Hanks movies are really long. Sometimes I think that they are longer then they should be to keep things interesting. Anyway, funny story about GG today she went up to J and said, "where naked tatoe head!" J then told her it was Mrs. and not naked. I haven't eaten dinner yet so I am going to go and get something for my tummy. I hope that the rest of the night will be one of relaxation. We'll see!!! By the way my husband has told me that my post have been too long in the past so I am trying to cut them down in size. Just some days more goes on and/or the kids do funnier things!

We had a very lazy day, like most Saturdays. We got up and spent most of the day watching J play his new game. I took a little nap today, which was nice. Nothing really exciting happened. We did get some pictures in the mail of my oldest brother and his family. The pictures are really cute. I am almost positive that Monkey is going to start crawling very soon. He has gotten really good at sitting up the last couple of days and now he has learned how to go from a sitting position back to his hands and knees. I will try and keep you updated on his progress. We needed today to just be laid back because we are usually go…go…go! It is now after dinner we are going to the video store to get a movie, it is J’s pick. I will let you know if it is good or bad.

Today we got up and went to playgroup from 9:30am to 11am. While we were there my friend Kristen (Ethan’s mommy) told us she was pregnant. She and her husband have been trying to get pregnant with their second child for a little over a year. I am so happy for them. Then we came home and ate lunch, and then J got paged to the hospital. So we waited until he got back so we could go to the furniture store to talk to them about our couch being broken again. While we were there we looked at entertainment centers. The one we have now is ok but it is particleboard and really junky. So we thought we would price some. Then we went to The Wood Shed, they have some really nice things in there and they are cheaper than the furniture store. I really wish we had money to buy an entertainment center, matching dressers for J and me and dressers for the kids. But like J says the things we have now work and when he gets a job then we can seriously look for new things that look nice and are good quality. If I need to wait that is fine because I would prefer to buy a house before new furniture! Which reminds me the detective from his 2nd choice called today and asked me questions about J. This time around I was more prepared with my answers and less frazzled so I think that I answered the questions better. Please be praying that he gets an offer from at least one of them, both would be nice!!! Well right now J is reading stories to GlamorGirl and Monkey, I was in there for a little bit cleaning up the toys. However, I figured that the kids are occupied with the books so I thought I would update my journal like I do almost every night they read books!

Here is a run down of our day. We got up and got ready shortly after J got back from his trip. We then went to Lollipops, H & R Block, and then to our Mommy and Me class. While Monkey and I were at the class J and GG ran some errands to save time and then they met us at the class. At the class Monkey got to play with sand and he loved it. Then he got to play with whipped cream and he liked to eat it but he liked the sand much better. Today’s class was about messy play and how children need it. It is an important part of their development in the areas of language, emotional, physical and interaction. After the class we went home. The kids took a nap and J went to pt and I got to rest in the chair holding Monkey while he slept! Then tonight Belinda and Ellie came over for dinner. It was a new recipe that J wanted to try and it feeds a lot of people so it was good they were able to come over and help us eat it. Then J went to the Y to work out, GG played in the toy room, and Monkey explored our room. Now we are getting everyone ready for bed, we need to get up early tomorrow for playgroups. Happy Birthday Becky!!!

This morning we got to spend about half an hour with J before he left for his trip. Before he left I laid Monkey on his tummy and the next time I looked at him he was sitting up! He has been trying to do that for the last couple of days. Then the rest of us got ready and Monkey took his morning nap and GG and I played in the toy room. We ate lunch and waited for J to call and tell us he got there safely. At 2:30pm the phone rang and I thought to myself this better be J considering he left here at 9:30am. It was his mom she was told to call and let me know he got there. (he was changing clothes) His interview with the detective was at 3. Cutting it a little close if you ask me. Then she told me that he had been there for about an hour. What a little punk. I was here waiting to hear from him. Oh well at least he got there safely. For some reason GG has been singing the song, Ten little monkeys jumping on the bed, all day long. Thank you J for teaching her that song. My favorite line that she sings is, “mama called the doctor and the doctor said NO MORE MONKEYS JUMPING ON THE BED.” Her voice changes into a deep one when she says the capitalized letters. I fight back the laughter. But usually we both end up cranking up, which might be the reason she keeps singing the song! This afternoon while the little ones took their naps I tried to update Monkey’s web page but half way through I got disconnected from the internet. I was going to finished it tonight when I was on the internet doing my journal and checking emails. But the page wasn't working so I guess I will try again tomorrow. I did get some new pictures up though. I did also get to talk to J about everything that happened in his interview. I think things are looking up he has already went from being 8th to either 7th or 6th, but at least 7th. We will know more after the background and polygraph are done. I will try to keep you updated. Well I am heading to bed. Oh yeah GG slept in her bed again last night! Speaking of bed Monkey rolled into GG's bed last night. It scared me to death. At least it wasn't a far fall.

What a day we had here! The morning was great. We got up, ate breakfast and took showers. Then I put Monkey to sleep for his morning nap. While he slept GG and I colored and water painted some pictures. Then we ate a late lunch because we weren't going to eat dinner until after 7pm. J worked today and he got off at 7pm. But he ended up getting home at 8:15pm, at least I tried to have a hot meal for him. The most interesting thing happened after the kids woke up from their afternoon naps. The detective from J's first choice job called to do a background check on him. He asked me all kinds of questions. It was a little nerve racking because he asked my opinion and then asked me to give an example of what I meant. I think it went pretty good. J is going to have to take another trip this week to talk to this detective. I guess this is the price we pay for getting him a job. (time and gas money!) GG slept in her bed again last night. Yea. The rest of the night we spend talking about stuff and now we are getting ready for bed. I just got done reading Virginia’s journal and I am sorry that I forget sometimes to tell you what has happened. I am a mother of two and very, very tired. So Virginia and anyone else out there that thinks that I forget to update on things I said I would I am truly sorry!

Today our friends Amanda (she’s back from Florida) and Eric came over to see us. GlamorGirl had a lot of fun playing with Amanda and then she sat herself in Eric’s lap and watched Winnie the Pooh while we talked. J was on pager until 7 so we didn’t leave the house or doing anything much until he was off. Last night GG slept in her bed the whole night making it two nights in a row. One day (and I’m not pushing) maybe she will be in her own room! Tonight GG and I went to K-mart to get her a paint book. I majorly dislike that store. First of all I have no idea where anything is and secondly you can never find someone to help you. They also had one check out going. Then we came home and watched the end of the show Fear Factor, it was gross. I am really tired and can’t think of anything else that happened today.

This was a really long day. We got up and went to church. We saw our friends Belinda and Ellie there. They have been sick the last couple of weeks so we haven't done anything with them. After church we came home ate lunch and then went to Belinda's house to do laundry. I did two loads of the kids clothes and Jeff took the other 5 loads to the laundry mat. When the clothes were done we came home dropped the baskets off, to make room in the car for groceries. We then went shopping for food. Not a good idea to do when you are hungry. By the time we got back from the store it was 7pm! The rest of the night we unpacked the food, made dinner, I watched Law & Order CI, and we put away the 7 loads of laundry. Now it is time to get ready for bed.

Here is another day of our short lives here on earth. We got up this morning, went to the bank and then to the home and life show at Western Hall. This is the first time I have ever been to one of these shows. It was pretty cool my favorite booth was the scrapbook nook booth. I was there for a good 30 minutes. GG and J (mostly J) spent a lot of time looking at the different vehicles especially the hummer. It was only $63,000!!! That is crazy, some houses don’t even cost that much. GG’s favorite was the big blow up play place that all the kids were jumping in. I don’t know the real name for it. After she played in it the lady made her a flower balloon. All in all we had a lot of fun walking around and checking out every booth. When we were done with everything there it was time to eat. J decided (and I didn’t mind) we should go out to eat. This was a special treat because we hardly ever go out for food. We went to Shooters.(which is in the Days Inn) By the time we got home it was naptime for the kids. J played his playstation games and I finished reading the book Let’s Roll and wrapped the present for John’s birthday party tonight then the kids were awake! The party was fun. There were a lot of kids there almost too many. There was a kid crying every 10 seconds. Craziness. Just a reminder…please if you go into Wal-mart vote for our little Monkey! He is jar number 5. The contest ends March 9th. Thank you. Well J is having his friend Cober come over and play more games. We will probably all watch them. Then off to bed.
